Bill Smith, Gerry McNamara, Dave Bing...

Whoops, sorry everyone. The list I was looking at originally was only listing the top five scoring performances (Bing was three of them).

A bunch of other guys from the 1950s scored over 40 points. Which really steals some of the thunder from my post. But it's still extremely unusual over the past 30-40 years.

Gene Waldron vs. Iona in Carrier Classic in 1983?

I guess have to brush up on my Syracuse history. Hopefully the old timers forgive me for not ever hearing of Bill Smith.

Counting Gillon, I've seen three of those.

...and John Gillon.

The four players to score over 40 points in a game in the history of our great program.
Didn't Tyler Cooney score 43 against BC?? I can't believe I have yet ANOTHER false memory!
