Black jerseys

Nebraska is wearing them and Kentucky is wearing them right now. I hate them, they look like practice jerseys. Why wear black if its not your team color??

It's funny, we just bought our team all black uni's for homecoming as a surprise. It's a lot of our fundraising money but the kids basically begged for them.

I agree. My girlfriend said they look like a poor high school jersey. It's not just the color though, they could've made them so much better. The numbers on them look horrible..

I like the black jersey's and if the Cuse incorporates navy and orange with the black, they might look like the NY Knicks football team.

Yeah, blackshirts was for outstanding players on their defense. They wore them over their practice jerseys. But they were so terrible a few years ago, their coach didn't hand any out, don't remember if it was Pelini or not.

Blackshirts was actually for the starters ... but you are correct about Pelini ...

In some cases more than 11 defensive players received a blackshirt. But yeah the general principal was starters...

The tradition has shifted a few times throughout history ... today it is 11 for starters after reinstatement in 2008 of course .. by Pelini.
