Blackout Looms of ESPN on YouTubeTV

I have to create a new email address to stream Fubo at this point. I use it for MASN when the Yankees are playing the Orioles or for my wife when the Phillies are playing the Nationals. But I think I've used up just about every email address this family has ever had for each trial. They don't allow a 2nd one.

I assume the Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle that comes free with Verizon Wireless will allow for tonight's game? Guess I should test that today with some replays.
Wait! I have Verizon wireless! Didn’t know you can get this with it!

I have ESPN Plus as part of the Disney streaming bundle but I am locked out of ESPN because they ask for my provider and when I select You Tube and sign in, I am locked out of watching. Soooo, what the hell is the point of ESPN Plus?
There's probably not anymore. Either need the full ESPN Unlimited subscription or . . . eventually when (and if) YTTV and Disney settle, YTTV subscibers will get the full ESPN Unlimted as part of YTTV. Charter/Spectrum and DiecTV subscribers already have it. Comcast/Xfinity subscribers are supposed to have it but there are technical problems getting it and it'll be delayed a few months.

Or stream Fubo for free for a few days?
I was signing up for Fubo but it says the free trial is only 1 day? I was hoping to get up until Monday night just in case I needed it for the basketball game

Btw that is exactly what I feel is going to happen.
This one could go longer. There are some fundamental disagreements between Google & Disney. Apparently Disney won't give YTTV similar rates they give to cable companies Comcast and Charter/Spectrum. I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up with Google filing an antitrust lawsuit against Disney.

I did not know this about VZN wireless and looking into it now …

EDIT - I see it’s $10 for the bundle which is something!

EDIT2 - and now I’m being told the bundle doesn’t include LIVE TV on ESPN?

I thought your provider is your internet provider. I have YTTV and the ESPN bundle. My internet is T-Mobile. Going to check my ESPN now

Don't click on the box that says log in with my TV provider but below is a log into my disney account. Worked for me.

Thanks. I’ll have to try this when I get home. Always wondered why if I’m paying for it separately through my Disney/hulu/espn sub that I couldn’t watch espn

The Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle through Verizon wireless does not get you main ESPN streaming. It only gets you streaming products. ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc. is only provided through a cable provider or a streaming service. I would have a backup plan if you have YouTube TV in ESPN plus. You probably will not be getting the game.

I guess I didn't even notice it on my Verizon Wireless bill. I know it was a free promotion for a while and I've never paid Disney or ESPN or Hulu directly for it.

Hulu with ads is REALLY annoying though. When diving into Shoresy or something else, I've actually paid separately to not have ads.

To add to your point, Google/YouTube has already floated the idea, claiming that Disney/ESPN is jacking up the price to give advantage to Disney's Hulu, a direct competitor to YTTV.

Further, YTTB has leveraged its size to garner the same deals as the cable companies. SNY and YES Network are still not on YTTB because they want too much per viewer. If Disney does not come to an agreement, I think Google will do as you say, file an antitrust lawsuit. At the very least, Disney will need to air its dirty laundry in its practices , pricing, etc. Besides, why should we have to subsidize private planes for Herbie and his dog so he can be on game day in one place and call a game a few hours later elsewhere? Sorry, Herbie can fly coach. ESPN can cut a major portion of its expenses by cutting back on "air talent."

Well said. And as of Wednesday Disney now has Fubo also to compete against YTTV and benefit from ESPN et al not being on YTTV. I'm surprised we haven't anything from anyone in Congress yet about this blackout.
