The guy he's replacing (Reggie Witherspoon) is a very popular local guy. Even though they lost 20 games this year, there was no fan outcry for his firing. He did decently well over the past 6-8 years, but recruiting was his weakness. It will be interesting to see how Hurley is received in Buffalo.

I don't think Christian is the coaching type either. But I googled him to see what he is doing these days and it turns out he recently started his coaching career. He is an assistant for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (great name) in the NBA Development League.
