It is clear that Bernie will soom have an opportunity to soon become friends with the other Bernie (Madoff).

I made a post a few days ago citing reasons to have faith in Bernie and that this would just play out and die. Boy, was I fool on that one...my worst post ever.

As for Jimmy, the key issue here is that the landscape has changed. For Jimmy to survive this sordid mess, it will not be enough that he didn't know anything was going on. It will be neccessary to determine, using hindsight, that a reasonable person in his situation do not know and should not have suspected the truth about Bernie (especially in light of the red flags relating to the 2003 accusation that were out there). I am concerned about the Davis hotel room comments and Jimmy's response that essentially creates credability issues.

Clearly, Jimmy will hang his hat on the 2003 investigation, which will take the onus off of him up until that point in time. However, if any evidence comes up post-2003 that indicates Jimmy should have known or suspected what was going on, then Jimmy will fall.

Cantor will protect the university, and rightfully so, Jimmy will only be allowed to stay if there is ZERO doubt that he knew nothing and should have known nothing about what Bernie was doing.

We also have to consider the possibility of Bernie cutting a deal & saying things that will shed negative light on what Jimmy might have known or should have suspected.

I believe that before this is all done, that this will end up being Jimmy's last season either through "retirement" or worse. Hopefully not the latter.

One caveat...JB will need to fully back Cantor on this. It's time for him to get behind the University with zero deviation from Cantor's message.

there is no deal for bernie. Prosecutors deal up. If it were true that jb knew stuff was going on, that isn't as bad as actually doing it. Bernie has nothing to deal there. okay Bernie, we'll give you less time if you can tell us Jb knew, even though that wouldn't be a crime. Doesn't make sense.

If JB strays from the company line or puts himself above SU in any way, then Cantor has to suspend him or fire him depending how out of line he gets, and unfortunately, he will likely get out of line at some point.

The truth is that Jimmy is the whale here and Bernie is the minnow. That is the way the world now works, even though Bernie seems to have clear guilt & Jimmy's role or non-role is on the fringes. If Bernie has anything in any way to implicate Jimmy there will be a deal. And by implicate, I do not mean that Jimmy in any way participated in the crime or an actual cover-up, merely that he should have had reasonable suspicions about what was going on & chose to close his eyes. Hopefully not, I'm just sayin.

It is very unlikely that we will hear anything more from Jimmy. I am sure he will be under wraps by advice of both the University and counsel.

I agree. If the company line is for him to remain silent, then he can't speak.

Two words about Boeheim's "survival"...NULL & VOID!

Those comments calling Davis & Lang "liars" are officially poised to bite him in the ass.
I'm a BIG fan of JB, but I damn near threw up in my mouth seeing this stuff. JB might have to go just to protect the brand, & frankly, I don't know if I'd disagree.
