I was actually wondering if 90 seconds after tip he pulls RakI'd hate for JB to get agitated and throw his jacket at the refs.
He might dislocate a hip.
Couldn't agree more. When I learned of this, I was not happy.Um. Doesn’t Griff have a job? Not a great look for a staff with its back against the wall to have an assistant out of pocket during an evaluation period.
I would have to think that not only Red but JW would also have to sign off on this. Sorry. I think it ridiculous and offers our program less than nothing. When Adam Weitsman called “out of the blue” to ask if he’d be interested in being the team’s head coach this summer, Griffin told him it would be an honor to do it. Griffin has an enduring friendship with Weitsman, who will reprise his role this summer as Boeheim’s Army’s Chairman.
Who's Griff to say no to AW? As has been noted, he does have a day job and that should take priority during this important recruiting period.
Do you think that GMac would have allowed Blackwell to take the job if he was offered? I'd say no.
Clown show.I would have to think that not only Red but JW would also have to sign off on this. Sorry. I think it ridiculous and offers our program less than nothing.
I just can't understand how this would be allowed. First, why he would agree to do it. Second, why Red and the school would say sure, go ahead.Clown show.
Yeah I’ve been getting the vibe from the outside since the season ended and the offseason has began, but I won’t be shocked if Engelstad has taken over as Autry’s top assistant. Maybe Griffin is leaving and it hasn’t been announced yet. Or he really doesn’t have offseason duties. In season, he’ll be a practice coach, work on opponent scouting, and sit on the bench for game days. Either way, something happened, the Griffin that was basically the AHC last season wouldn’t and shouldn’t be allowed to coach Boeheim’s Army. Don’t think even as a lower level assistant he should be allowed either as long as he is on the SU coaching staff.Um. Doesn’t Griff have a job? Not a great look for a staff with its back against the wall to have an assistant out of pocket during an evaluation period.
Totally agree. I started feeling good about how dedicated this staff was to be successful, and how imperative it is to kill it this year and beyond...and then this. It makes no sense at all.I just can't understand how this would be allowed. First, why he would agree to do it. Second, why Red and the school would say sure, go ahead.
Makes no sense at all. JB has peripheral involvement, so he must have thought it was a good idea too. In addition to the obvious problems, what kind of look is it for a major conference assistant to coach in TBT?I just can't understand how this would be allowed. First, why he would agree to do it. Second, why Red and the school would say sure, go ahead.
