Boeheim's will

Jim will never be fired. He position as a HOF coach and SU ICON will last forever or almost as long as his stubbornness:)

Yeah, it's possible for someone's strength to also be their weakness. His iron will helps to keep the team on track in trying times but that same iron will can help to create the difficult situation in the first place.

I think the frustration is that it seems every thread morph’s into this discussion.

And just because half the board doesn’t want Boeheim’s head on a platter, doesn’t mean they disagree with a lot of the same key points.

The board was nearly unanimous early on that Kadary was the guy at point. I know I called for it very early and was frustrated by his lack of minutes. Once Jesse got real minutes it was easy to recognize his potential impact, but nobody knew that beforehand.

Trusting JB’s opinion in regards to these matters bc of his experience vs wanting him fired are two polar opposite ends of the spectrum. There’s been little middle ground between board members this season. That gets tiresome, it’s as divisive as everything else that’s been stuffed down our throat for the past year.

IMO it is 2 completely different things. People are not starting to call for a new coach because of just this year. People were starting to call for a new coach because as someone else stated, we spend in the top 10 expenses in college basketball and the results have not been there the last 7 years. It’s the worst 7 year stretch in Jim’s History and it didn’t look like it was improving. Yes, you can say no one made the tournament last year but Syracuse was looking at 2 consecutive years and 3 out of the last 5 years not making the tournament.

Now to this year. It was even more frustrating because Jim was trying to fit square pegs into round holes. Marek is not a center, but he would not play anyone else. Joe was really struggling and kadary was outplaying him but wasn’t ready for 20 minutes. Jessie gets some time against Miami where he played fantastic and then didn’t play for another 3 games. Then he is brought in against tech after foul trouble by marek and has gotten substantial time ever since. Before last Monday we had 1 quality win against teams that were near the top of the ACC.

I agree that we are now playing some of the best basketball we have played all year. This past game the hero ball stuff stopped and the ball movement led to catch and shoot opportunities which we thrive at. People can spin it however they want. I just think it is interesting that the best stretch of basketball we have played all year is since the bench got deeper, not shorter. If they want to say that was Jim’s plan the whole time I could care less.

Ultimately the only thing I give a damn about is Syracuse winning. That’s why I’m here, and I think people forget that. They assume because we question we want to see bad results and we want to be right. When I question things it’s because of the results. If things we’re going the right way and we were winning then their wouldn’t be anything to complain about. But when your losing games and the same thing is happening over and over again, something has to change. And even though some of you don’t want to acknowledge it, the team has improved since the bench got deeper.

Thought this was breaking news that JB is leaving his estate to GMac or something.

Hilarious that you’re always negative and always wrong about your favorite teams.

And I’ve been the one to call you out. You’ve proven to not know a whole hell of a lot.

To be fair, you were saying how bad Jesse Edwards is not too long ago...

To be fair - you all preferred Buddy & Joe dead in a ditch somewhere.

Also I wouldn’t consider Edwards “good” yet. He was “bad” not too long ago. He’s come a long way from where he was in January. That’s a credit to him and the coaching staff. He wasn’t playable for much of the year because he didn’t know what his responsibilities were. His defensive positioning and decision making have done a 180.

His newfound aggressiveness is probably due to the fact that a light bulb came on & suddenly he doesn’t feel tentative because he knows what he’s doing. Again, thank the coaching staff for helping him put in the work that it takes to get better.

noooo. Said all along, something like 32, 30, 18 at the guards spot...which is closer to what it’s been in many of the games lately. 40 minutes of Buddy no matter what, and more Joe than Kadary no matter what wasn’t cutting it.

Jesse was “bad” in DNPs or like 90 seconds of action?

I’m sure he’s gotten better over the year, but hard to judge a guy when he’s not even in there, or pulled right away.

People don't just have to accept things especially when someone reaches an age where there has literally been 0 history of success in the sport.
what does this mean?

"our next caller is pat from syracuse. pat do you have any ideas for JB ?"
