Agree completely. If you’re not out there to win and stand your ground, then what’s the point. Until he hurts the team, ala T Hunt, let him be confident and play his game.
 
I like our chances against BC, we are at home, the talent should be relatively even, and if it comes down to coaching, I feel good.

He can't help himself...it's yet another way for him to take a swipe at ED like he's been doing most of the year.
 
Have to like this November -- every remaining SU game is meaningful, for both teams, and we are relevant. BC and the other games are going to be wars-- our guys have to play well and earn the Ws. The team should be healthy, with every unit playing well -- including the kicking game. We have Dungey and record setting receivers and an emerging running game. We have senior leadership, who want and deserve a good bowl game to cap their SU years. What more can an SU fan want?
 
Each game will be exciting. Off week sucks for me but great for team.

Agree and I don't think they run the ball on us. Better teams than BC have tried and failed to get push this year. IF - we are healthy in the front 7 for that game I think we win convincingly.
 
The run has opened up the offense for them, plus their quarterback is decent. I still think if Syracuse sells on the run and forces BC to pass, they'll come away with a win. Clinching a bowl berth shouldn't come down to that game.

Now, it's entirely possible that that does indeed happen, but as the most likely scenario? Nope.

As much as FSU and Llvll are not playing to their recent past levels of success, they are both good teams loaded with 4-5* talent and with good coaches (it pains me to say this about Petrino, but alas, it's true - or he wouldn't be working right now).
Both are on the road - we haven't exactly been road warriors, other than notching some moral victories in close losses.
Wake is much improved, with a veteran QB.

Not one of these games is a gimme. We could go 0-4, and it wouldn't shock me.
Likewise, we could go 4-0, and it's not out of the question to see how and why that could happen, if the cards fall the right way.

Never said that SU is a lock, but I don't chalk up any game as an L before it is played. Florida State is a vulnerable team on both sides of the ball and Wake Forest hasn't impressed this season despite their early undefeated run. Louisville is the only game that I think will give SU fits because of Jackson and Jackson alone. There has been a huge talent and coaching drop off from last season. They're 4-3 for a reason and could be under .500. I am confident SU can split those games and go 2-1 headed into the final week of the season.

Growing up, my extended family (about 30 of us) would rent out the entire motel behind Northern Lights ice cream in Inlet for a week each summer. Free ice cream all week for the kids, we used to take it right across to the movie theatre (well before Movie Tavern was a thing lol) Pizza from Screaming Eagle, the old arcade, baseball field, beach, it was awesome. I had more than a few pivotal boyhood "firsts" there. When we were old enough, we'd get the week pass to Water Safari, get dropped off, & be there open to close Mon-Fri. Kayaked from Inlet to OF & back multiple times as well. Fun memories.

I think the prediction of this game will be conditioned on what the teams will be playing for. If they both go into the game with 5 wins, prepare for a major league rock fight. If BC is at 6 wins and we're at 5, I see us rolling them.

BC is playing well. I know some people assumed they were going to be down in perpetuity but they are re-establishing their tough guy mentality on the lines and have a great frosh RB who is going to be around for a few years. This is gonna be a team to be reckoned with.

Talked to my best friends about renting out a place on fourth lake for a couple weeks next summer or late september. Feel like every Syracuse kid/guy never loses the soft spot for Adirondacks.

Some friends & I take a 4 day weekend every Summer. As far as OF, Walt's is still there. Obviously Daikers & Slickers as well but there's now also 46 Sky Bar right on Main St. Pretty cool rooftop bar with live music overlooking all of OF. Town looks great all lit up at night.

But, to stay on topic, Ish88888 you trippin', fam ;)

Every single play must go for big yardage otherwise it was a bad call. And if it was bad execution, then that’s on the coaches too.

No timeouts are ever allowed to be taken except for it you’re driving at the end of the half or if you’re driving and losing st the end of the game...which you better not be or else you got outcoached!

Every recruit better have offers from the top half of the ACC, SEC, and Big Ten.

His record is somehow 139-95 with all those 6-6 seasons. But Nick Saban if you will :)
 
I really don't understand the whole thing about Dino Babers not allowing his staff the camera and mics being a bad thing...

Dino takes full responsibility for his teams shortcomings and L's. He's a head coach, it is his team. It is his responsibility to make sure they are ready for gameday.

He provided these position coaches/coords with an opportunity to display their talents on the big stage. Media's a part of Dino's job, not theres. Their stage is the field, not the booth.

Lets not cut Dino's legs out from under him.
