Yes it is. Could move up there full time but not retirement time yet and I would need extra livers. Lol.God do I miss Eagle Bay, Inlet and Old Forge. Walt's Diner still kicking in Old Forge?

Yes sir it is. Best burgers in area and great staff who deal with my obnoxious su loudness. Unfortunately I missed Clemson at home cause friends came from Charleston, Sc and went to Daikers first half and I think I scared a few older patrons away. Went to tavern and the rest is history. The whole bar was going crazy. I own the carpet store up there in eagle bay where eagle bay cafe was. They are now across the street. Is this the place?

t plaGrowing up, my extended family (about 30 of us) would rent out the entire motel behind Northern Lights ice cream in Inlet for a week each summer. Free ice cream all week for the kids, we used to take it right across to the movie theatre (well before Movie Tavern was a thing lol) Pizza from Screaming Eagle, the old arcade, baseball field, beach, it was awesome. I had more than a few pivotal boyhood "firsts" there. When we were old enough, we'd get the week pass to Water Safari, get dropped off, & be there open to close Mon-Fri. Kayaked from Inlet to OF & back multiple times as well. Fun memories.

Played whitesboro in 1985/86 year in dome and won 7-6 and then played them again 86/87 and we got beat good. 30-6. I think I played against scerbziak or something along them lines. If Dungey gets tossed, Diamond Ferri will come out of the stands and beat this program again. It was 13 years ago and the superfans still can't believe what happened.
Yes these M s suddenly look like they can move the ball.
We beat Clemson and if we keep pounding our chests about it and take 3 days off for a game the week before a bye and keep hearing and basking in the accolades all week; we will be 4-8 in the blink of an eye.

It's a shame that this game is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The student attendance will be even worse than usual.I hope we pick up 2 wins in our next 3, or all 3. Wake and Louisville will be battles as well. I'm not sure how I feel about FSU. These are all winnable games but I can't help but worry about our little rivals from Mass.
This is a very very tough BC team with a lot of attitude that too many of us have considered an easier W all year. I think this will be our hardest fought game of the year, tensions will boil over. Dome needs to be packed. Hope Dungey can contain his competitiveness and avoids getting tossed. Kid doesn't take crap from anyone (clear as day from past BC matchups), but I don't want it to cost us.
Mental and Physical toughness will win the game.

Something about the area. A little magical I think.I am a big fan of the area. Have a road trip early in September each year to play Thendara and Inlet.
The hiking is awesome and the people are great. Love the Osso Bucco at Frankies in Old Forge!
'06 grad but I know the '86 team was our 1st to win a Section 3 title. We won the Class A sectional title in the Dome my Junior & Senior years. Junior year, back when states were in the Dome all the way through, we were undefeated & up 3 TDs on Maine Endwell at half but totally fell apart & lost. Absolute Murphy's Law in the 2nd half. They walked to a state title & that was the beginning of their dynasty. I actually noticed a couple of the same last names on their LLWS title team a few years ago. It was still cool seeing Paulus & Ray Rice play up close in the AA tourney. We came out for warmups as CBA was coming off after playing & a bunch of us took pics with Greg...really nice kid. The tournament staff started flipping out because we were throwing off the schedule lolPlayed whitesboro in 1985/86 year in dome and won 7-6 and then played them again 86/87 and we got beat good. 30-6. My father would always talk about watching the bears at the dump. Said it was better than any zoo he's been to as long as you could stand the smell. People would just toss food down to them & watch them wrestle. My grandmother had a place on Eagle Bay when I was growing up. We stayed on an inlet on 3rd lake, I believe. My sisters went to Camp Nazareth. I spent my days eating black raspberry ice cream from the Pied Piper and watching the bears at the dump. My mom still says "Smell the North" when she smells a hint of evergreen and pine in the air. I wish I could climb Rock Point right now. I miss those days.
Oops, sorry. Coach Meathead can suck it. Go Orange.

No kidding. That's 5 minutes fromy parents' house. Had a ton of friends who lived on & around Devereaux, minimal traffic made for great street hockey & manhunt at Kid's Country, that elaborate wooden jungle gym at Hart's Hill Elementary down the road.My grandmother actually used to live in Whitesboro on Devereaux Lane.
That CBA vs New Rochelle game was great and if Rice doesn't get hurt I don't think CBA gets the win. D1 level guys on both teams. Maybe the best game in NYSPHSAA playoff history. Going by memory I don't think ME won again until a few years later when they dropped to B.'06 grad but I know the '86 team was our 1st to win a Section 3 title. Red dog is a great place.Curious when this was? I grew up at my grandparents camp in the summers. South shore Rd on 4th lake. By far best time of my childhood. I look back and realize how lucky I was to have access to that area. Still one of my dreams is to have a place there. I'm in nc now and would buy a place today if I had the loot! I always wanted to drink a beer in the red dog.
sweet revenge wings are the best.Red dog is a great place.
