I do think the Giants can bounce back next year. Last year was an everything that could possibly go wrong did type season.

The Jets and Knicks really bring NYC sports down every single year. In the biggest media market in the country, it’s almost unfathomable that the Jets haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1969 and the Knicks haven’t won an NBA title since 1973. The Mets, Nets, Rangers and Islanders haven’t been helping the last 20 years or so either. But as long as people are in the seats, what does ownership care if their team wins.

Rangers are actually the more consistent of the NY teams outside of the Yankees and lesser extent, the Giants. It helps that Dolan isn't involved with affairs as he is with the Knicks. This year was the first time they played a meaningless game in April in the last decade. One SCF and two ECFs is pretty damn good. Would have been three if the now fired Vigneault knew how to manage a line at the end of the game against Ottawa.

All Boston has done is have competitive sports teams in every sport. Every major sports Boston team won a title between 2004 and 2011.

They don’t give a crap about NY. The Yankees were the only team that was hated and that rivalry died until recently.
