Patriots: AFC champs
Jets and Giants: Lottery picks

Celtics and Bruins: Leading in their playoff series
Knicks, Nets, Rangers and Islanders: Playing Golf

Red Sox: 14-2 and in first place
Yanks: .500 6 games back

Not sure it has ever been this bad across all sports.

I deliberately left off that team that has had seven losing seasons out of the last nine.
Works for me, I’m a Dodgers fan! They are in first though. But yeah, if the Mets are the only NY team winning...

I do think the Giants can bounce back next year. Last year was an everything that could possibly go wrong did type season.

The funniest thing is the Boston team with the bleakest future is the one that has been to 8 Super Bowls in the last 17 years.
Bruins and Celtics are loaded with young talent.

The Jets and Knicks really bring NYC sports down every single year. In the biggest media market in the country, it’s almost unfathomable that the Jets haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1969 and the Knicks haven’t won an NBA title since 1973. The Mets, Nets, Rangers and Islanders haven’t been helping the last 20 years or so either. But as long as people are in the seats, what does ownership care if their team wins.

Please make that 15-2. It's been a 'grand' month for the Sox.

Rangers are actually the more consistent of the NY teams outside of the Yankees and lesser extent, the Giants. It helps that Dolan isn't involved with affairs as he is with the Knicks. This year was the first time they played a meaningless game in April in the last decade. One SCF and two ECFs is pretty damn good. Would have been three if the now fired Vigneault knew how to manage a line at the end of the game against Ottawa.

You know the difference between people from Boston and people from New York?

People from Boston will tell you about the things that make Boston better than New York.

People from New York don't talk about Boston.

All Boston has done is have competitive sports teams in every sport. Every major sports Boston team won a title between 2004 and 2011.

They don’t give a crap about NY. The Yankees were the only team that was hated and that rivalry died until recently.
You think Boston gives a crap about NY? Jets? Knicks? Rangers? Nope.

Cycles

From 1980-2000

NYC went

7-0 in Stanley Cups
5-3 in World Series
2-1 in SuperBowls
And yes, 0-2 in NBA Finals

While Boston had

0-2 in Cups
0-2 in Super Bowls
0-1 in World Series
And yes 3-2 in NBA Finals

LOL your claiming NJ Devils and Long Island Islanders.
Cmon on man.
You know NY is Knicks/Yanks/Mets/Jets/Giants/ Rangers.

NJ is Devils and Nets
Long Island is the Islanders but I guess since they are New York you can count them but I bet you and a lot NYCers consider them their own team.
