Bowl projections

Out of the remaining 11 ACC participating bowls (not the NY6 4), does anyone know the formula as to how they pick the teams, or which are the most and least prestigious out of the 11? It still confuses me.

Don't get me wrong though, I’ll be happy if we’re in any of them.

VA Tech could win out. If they found there O in our game I think there is a better chance they win out than fail to make 6 W. They play no one.

The rest of the teams are not getting to 6 Ws.

VT has 4 of their last 5 on the road. Maybe that will be good for them. But I still think that QB can't lead them to winning all of them, usually have to pass on the road (@GT, @Miami, @UVA). They should win @BC and vs Duke. They need one of those other 3 on the road to get to 6.

Miami woke up against NC State. Van Dyke looked good, but if he goes down, they're done.

I think FSU has a chance. Be interesting to see what happens @ Clemson this weekend.

I just read that Cuse needs two more wins (6) for a bowl but I thought it was 5?

That’s if there isn’t enough 6 win teams to fill all the slots. At least I think that’s how it works
Yep , I think they go to teams academic standing to determine out of the 5-7 teams. There are a couple new bowls wondering if there might be a couple of those slots but it’s a long shot at best.

Yep gotta get to 6 and then it is a definite. If there aren’t enough 6 win teams to fill all bowls they take the teams at 5-7 in order of highest APRs. Chances are slim to none and slim just left the room.

go thru the teams and see how many are in the same spot as SU.. In the ACC alone

4 teams eligible.

SU-BC-clem-lou-unc all at 4

UNC has NC/Wake/Pitt could lose all 3 they would need the NC st game

Lou if Su beats them they have Clem nc st would then need to beat Kent

FSu if they dont beat Clem, they have Miami NCst and Fl and would need to win at least 2 of those.

Duke/Vt the play each other so the loser is in a tough spot.

Better chance of 60-70 at Xmas than 25. Not to worry, I still have all of my old winter clothing.

I'm hearing this winter will be worse than last year. Get our winter clothing ready.

I will take any bowl we can get. Beat BC this weekend and this conversation can get more serious, if we don't, we are likely screwed.
This...just hope we don't end like 2011.

6 wins is the goal...I think we get there...but the injuries and portal defections are concerning

From what I have read, the ACC has relaxed the rules controlling picking order for many of the bowls, to make for the most flexible and lucrative selections for the bowls.

Not sure if they expect the bowls to cooperate and be nice. Should be interesting if that is the expectation.

Would guess if we are bowl eligible, we might get fought over some. I would think the Pinstripe, the Fenway and the Military Bowl all would want us badly.

Largely because of the good turnout we have for the Orlando Bowl, and partly due to the dearth of attractive opponents who will draw at those venues (probably no BC and no VT. Pitt is probably going to a higher end bowl and UVa might as well).

We will have a choice of destinations. If we can find our way to 6 wins.
