That is a shame for AJ. Could care less about a red shirt year. Austin gets another chance that he may not have gotten if AJ stayed healthy. Gotta believe that Troy Green is #3 since he likely has the most familiarity with the offense and the QB position in the offense than any other "non-QB/former QB" on the roster. I hope the boys keep their head up and realize they still have a chance to win some games. As much as I like AJ it's not like SU's offense was suddenly proficient with him in there. This season is gone. In the Spring we'll have at least 3 QB with some starting experience and hopefully a January enrollee that has a mixture of the other's qualities and makes it a real 4 man competition. I think the door may have just opened a crack to the possibility of a true freshman starting game 1 next year.
My fear for this week is tat we try to take the pressure off the QB and try to control the ball and clock. That will make sense to many but as someone else said, Duke is going to score 30+ no matter what we do. Our only hope to win is not trying to limit Duke's offense but trying to outscore them somehow some way. I have very little confidence in this coaching staff's adjustments for this situation.
