Reminds me of when we hired Fran. Out of nowhere hire, the more you read about him the more it movedMore I read the better he gets
How is it a mess just because we didn’t know about it?
From the Toledo Blade article for his hiring there: "[At 37] Blair, who has experience at the NCAA and in the Pac-12, SEC, and Conference USA, was the brains behind Wazzu’s NIL efforts. He negotiated with HBO on the football’s appearance on 24/7 College Football, a college version of Hard Knocks, and orchestrated a home-and-home series with Mississippi State, which will be the first SEC school to play at Washington State."This is an impressive read. I'm all in on this hire.
Not in this case it isn’t.Change is hard.
the big thing though is him getting them the resources they need to be competitive. Especially at a small school like Toledo. Not discounting Blair at all, as he looks to be a good hire; however, those coaches were already in place when he became AD.
Duly noted. I hope your concern doesn't spoil it for Blair getting the job.I will go on record and state that 40 is very young to be an athletic director, especially at the P4 level
And Haynie!Fran, Blair, and Hodgson definitely seems like a trio that could unlock some new money
