I'll bite because it's been a fun night reading the boards insights...

I'm probably missing something (it happens often), but what is the connection between Billy Banks TaeBo Power and the Bryan B. Blair hire discussion? Don't tell me it because they both have a lot of Bs in their names.

Don’t get me wrong this is way better than Lyke, but with conference realignment right around the corner, I’m not sure the AD from Toledo is going to be the best person to represent us in those discussions. I would have rather had someone that is in a current position of more power/influence. Maybe we can get ADJW to stay on as a special consultant to the AD.

One problem at a time. We ain’t goin nowhere without the cash money.

This guy needs to get on the phone with Micron and the big dawgs and get some more money flowing. That’s all he has to do for the next 2 years. Then when conference re-alignment comes at least we have some chips to play with.

If football and hoops have seasons like we had this year before re-alignment we’ll be hoping we don’t end up playing games on ESPN Ocho

You were the first to report him. I went back and looked because I knew someone reported it yesterday. Kudos. You said this weekend. Based on what Arizona said, sounds like that was his second interview because he mentioned today he was one of the 4 interviews in NYC last week but didn’t share his name because he was employed by another school as an AD.

He didn't hire either the football or basketball coaches. The basketball coach has been there for 16 seasons and the football coach was there for 10 seasons. He did just hire a new football coach, but who knows if he is going to be good.

He hired Mercers coach, Mike Jacobs.

Exactly. Try explaining to a 70 year old what college sports looks like now. If you were only half paying attention you would have no clue.

-Players being paid 10 mil a year, will likely be 15 mil soon.
-Drafted pro G League players coming back to college
-30 year old Euro kids coming over to hoop
-Kids suing the NCAA and winning with local judges that are also big donors to the local schools suing
-Tournaments that are practically doubling in size

A 70 year old grew up playing basketball with no 3 point line, no shot clock and a 16 team NCAAT ha.

I'm 71 and I fully get it, and totally want young and upcoming staff. I am extremely technologically up to date, maybe even ahead of most of you, am open and wanting change all of the time. Many seniors fit my bill.

Personally I would trust the 40 year old in this. 40 is a prime employment age. They have up to 20 years of experience under their belt.

The only thing that needs to happen is Syracuse being good in football and basketball again. Then the people throughout America who were fans in years past will come back.
