Bubble Watch - Conf Tourney Saturday (Still Alive)

I liked what the NCAA guy said on CBS about a lot of the bids being sewed up. My gut says that is good for us.
I think it's inconsequential, honestly. They could have us out and the bids still be sewn up. The only bubble question mark today was URI. If anything this probably means MTSU and Nevada won't get at-larges if they lose

Could take it as the opposite too. I hope you are right. I do tend to think/agree barring a bid stealer that the committee has decided our fate already one way or the other.

Cannot wait until this is all over

IDK. It's been fun following other teams results closely and analyzing our fate. And it's given this board some juice prior to the selection show.

LOL No. Don't be ridiculous. It's called replying to a post. you want me to throw sir in there somewhere, sir?
No sir needed haha, I can just sense you wanting to come through your computer when someone mentions something against SU. I get it, I want us to be in as much as the next guy!

Some people need to keep this place balanced with positivity :)

Vandy is 10-8 in the SEC lol

If they lose today then at 19-15, I don't see why they deserve it over us. Same with 8-10 KState, USC, and Wake. We really should make it, though we shouldn't even be in this position. 10-8 in the ACC, finishing 8th with three top 10 wins. That's tough to leave out. The committee is human. They know we struggled early, then got our pieces in place. At least, that's my hope.

actually no. I know the inning and the score with regards to our chances. I have thought that we would either be the last team in or the last one out. Obviously, I really want to make it. I actually think we are a tough out if we get in.

Nobody on the bubble had any games left this weekend except Rhode Island. I tried to read into the comment as well, but in the end I think that is where they should be by now since the resumes of all these teams on the bubble are complete.

People keep saying we hav 3 top ten wins. That's based on what; their ranking at the time? I don't really think the committee is going to care about that.

By RPI (which we know the committee uses for grouping, if nothing else) Duke is 8, FSU is 13, and UVA is 18. So three top 20 wins. Which is still impressive, don't get me wrong, but I have a feeling if we miss out tomorrow there will be a barrage of "how can you leave out a team with 3 top 10 wins" and its not really the case.

Well done! Timely for me as I am finishing up the series today/tomorrow. I'll be sad when it's over, incredible show, but it should be a smooth transition to Better Call Saul.
A masterpiece of a show. Finished a couple months ago and been suffering withdrawals. And just accidentally discovered Better Call Saul while streaming a movie on AMC. During a break out of the corner of my eye caught none other than Gus advertising Los Pollos Hermanos. I was like whaaa? Third season premiere Apr 10. Plenty of time to catch up on the first two ... especially if our bubble is popped tomorrow (obligatory on-topic reference.) Hope it's half as good as the original.

Vitale and Boehiem kept saying 3 top 10 wins. I agree with you, I prefer to call it 3 top 18 wins though lol

Agreed, I said in another post that I'd rather be an 11 or 12 seed because there aren't any 4 or 5 seeds that we can't beat. We could be set up nicely again for a run.

Not really bubble related, but if true it's interesting and a reminder that the opinions of the people picking these brackets mean zero. Everyone had UNC as a sure #1, Lunardi even posted an article about it being a done deal.

Nobody knows how the committee is evaluating these teams, and everybody is just guessing until tomorrow night

Well 12-8 now. And while it's clearly not the ACC (don't want to create an uproar like yesterday), they did get a harder 18 SEC schedule than most. They probably will get the 3 teams that are seeded the highest in the ACC twice in the unbalanced schedule - Florida, Kentucky and Arkansas*

*could be South Carolina as well.

They have 6 top 50 wins, they are getting in.
