Bubble Watch - March 12

The announcers said this will be a 1 bid conference, for what it's worth.

Too bad we can't bet on your "but they played a really good OOC, even though they lost all those games that should get them in" theory

to which team are you referring to?

Considering what the NCAA Tourney committee member said last year regarding the rankings they use...

http://www.coloradoan.com/story/spo.../colorado-state-ncaa-tournament-rpi/24829067/

"We look at RPI really as an organizer in terms of top 50 and 100, but we spent a lot of time, more time than I remember, in comparing (RPI) in the swings to metrics such as the Sagarin, Ken Pom, BPI," Barnes said. "Those are used in the room as well and talked about quite extensively. We review those metrics each week, and that carried over to this week."

...here is how the current bubbles rank when averaging the four ranking systems RPI, Sagarin, KenPom, and BPI.

Let me know if there are any other teams missing.

*still playing

I notice Wichita State far ahead of the pack based on those metrics. And that doesn't even take into account their star PG was out for three of their losses.

I'm not taking sides and dont know what this argument is about, but there are first times for many things.

For sure. Just pointing out that it would be highly unusual.

Fresno St and SDSU tied with 7:32 left. Not sure how much this game matters, but very athletic players and fun to watch. True Vegas showmanship going on.

Quick question: Do I have to root for Fresno St? This game has been enjoyable to watch as a neutral fan, with 2 athletic and hungry teams in the rubber match on a neutral floor. Fresno St by 1 with 3:46 left.

We want SDSU to win. Fresno State won't get an at large bid, SDSU possibly could.

Only caught parts of the game but San Diego St seems to have made many big time athletic plays.

Watched the end of the Hall-Nova game and it was nice to see the Hall win.

UUGGHHH, that boat game was possibly some of the worst basketball i've ever seen played.

If I was neutral I'd be rooting for Fresno St, being it's been their best season since 2003. They hit a clutch 3 and are up by 2 with 1:21

Ugh. 2 HORRID possessions for SDSU.

Actually 3. They took an awful contested shot from the corner just inside the 3 pt line.

3 straight possessions that were the worst of the game for SDSU. perfect timing, good lord.

That might have been the worst 2 minutes of basketball in crunch time ive seen all year. If this costs us a bid...
