Yep. A lot of meaningful ones too. Also, Cooney is higher on that list than I would have thought.Man gmac made a lot of 3s
How is he undersized or playing out of position?View attachment 213625Buddy has certainly been on a roll the last 3 games shooting the 3 ball, and that Steph Curry type 3 that JG3 hit towards the end of the first half put him in the #10 spot all-time with 180 threes…..passing Tyus Battle. Not too bad for an undersized kid playing out of position.
Oops, I misread that.I think he was referring to Joe Girard.
Did you know we don't win 10 fricken games without him. Or a Natty.Man gmac made a lot of 3s
Of other notes as well-
Gmac - 80 wins
Buddy- 68 wins
Andy - 105 wins
Trevor- 99 wins
Shump- 93 wins
No knock against anyone else, but watching Shumoer shoot pre-game was incredible. He was so fluid and would just nail every shot in rhythm.
When he shot warming up, it looked like he was born to shoot threes.
Not saying he was the best at it or had perfect form, but it looked so natural and effortless.
GMac had 103 wins.Of other notes as well-

That is the point I was making in a different thread. Now however, the composition of the team has changed drastically to a shooters team. I think Gerry has had a lot of influence on that. Also not intended as a knock, probably not the kindest thing to add to this type of thread, but if this list shows anything it's that SU isn't exactly known for excellence in shooting. Tyus Battle and Lawrence Moten are two of my all-time favorites. Shooters they were not.
It sucks that Shumpert's SU legacy (which is a great one) gets kind of jaded by Deshaun's drama. No knock against anyone else, but watching Shumpert shoot pre-game was incredible. He was so fluid and would just nail every shot in rhythm.
Fair enough, but there were plenty of really good shooters who played before the 3-point era. Also not intended as a knock, probably not the kindest thing to add to this type of thread, but if this list shows anything it's that SU isn't exactly known for excellence in shooting. Guys like Matt Roe, Elijah Hughes, Andrew White and Carmelo were much better pure shooters than Moten, for instance. They just weren't at SU long enough to compile enough volume. Also not intended as a knock, probably not the kindest thing to add to this type of thread, but if this list shows anything it's that SU isn't exactly known for excellence in shooting. No joke, during a pre-season game, I one time saw Elvir Ovcina dribbling the ball down on a 2 on 1 break as time was running down, we were down by one, and Elvir stopped at the arc and jacked a three and missed.
As infuriating as it was, it was a thing of beauty to watch Elvir have that type of chutzpah to throw that three up when we just needed two.
If that was in the regular season, I have no doubt JB would have had him killed.
If it were a regular season game Elvir probably would have been watching in that circumstance.
I think you missed one of the McNamara years - he's at 103 by my count.
