Buffalo Bills 2018

This is embarrassingly bad.

I’ll say it again- great work this offseason by the staff and management.

Yeah they must not have a clue how to build a team - the only side of the ball that they’ve had the time and money to address just shut down Brady and the Pats for 4 quarters. What idiots!

Odd post

Neck and neck for the worst offense between the fighting Ash heaps of RU and the Bills

Who is Anderson throwing to on some of these passes? Play Allen as soon as possible this is unwatchable

Who would you have brought in?

They could have drafted someone before the 166th pick at the very least. I'm not sure off the top of my head who was available in free agency, but probably someone that would be an upgrade.

Oh I know. Strange to defend the decisions to have this offensive roster.

Strange to moan and wail in the middle of an obvious rebuild with a rookie quarterback . Especially when the one side of the ball they have focused on just dominated Brady and the Pats for 4 quarters. You don’t think management knows what they are doing?

Come on man...

They did. They drafted him 7th.

Then they drafted Edmunds, Phillips, and Johnson... would you like to toss any of those guys back? I sure as hell don’t. They all have been HUGE contributors to this fantastic defense.

I was saying they didn't take an offensive lineman before the 166th pick. Allen, Edmunds, Phillips, Taron...they are not offensive linemen.

To your question about whether or not I'd toss any of them back, yeah, I probably would. I like the guys they took, but I don't think trading up in either case was really ideal. I understand why teams do it; I just don't agree with the philosophy personally.

But yes, knowing you had an absolutely horrific offensive line and not doing anything about it is bad. So is knowing you have a horrific group of receivers and not doing anything about it. Of course I'm certain they'll address both issues this upcoming offseason, but yeah, I didn't really agree with many of the moves they made this offseason.

You don’t think Beane an McDermott know what they are doing?

I am not like some people that want them gone. No way. I completely understand this year was going to be tough. But the fact is, this team made the playoffs last season (yes, it was fluky but the history will show it happened). How often does a team go into complete rebuild after a playoff berth? Rarely. It’s possible to try to rebuild a team but also compete for playoffs. Me, and the overwhelming majority, don’t think enough was done on offense to give the team a chance to compete but also keep the future as a priority. Allen and peterman? These wideouts? Look, I get it. It’s tough and it’s a 2 way street like you say, pro bowl guys aren’t just sitting there unsigned. But it’s incredibly frustrating to see this, after the thrills of last season’s postseason berth (again... unexpected), when we can’t even score a touchdown in 4 games... 4 of 8! In a league where scoring is sky high! I have flashbacks to shafer days. Defense can play a big role in this game but you have to still score the football.

We will see. I like the defense. We have to have a good offseason.

Great thanks to Murphy and his missed block we can watch Nathan Peterman start on Sunday. Just forfeit the rest of the season and save us the grief

Trade away Taylor, Woods, Watkins, etc...trade for players like Benjamin etc...to build for the future and create terrible unwatchable product. Terrible management.

The front office deserves some kudos for assembling a mostly exceptional defense. However, they also deserve to be heavily criticized for putting together what is perhaps the worst offense in modern NFL history.

Lol Marone had them going the right way but was smart to see writing on wall with management

Buffalo Bills 2018

If you're a Bills fan, it's a masochistic gathering each football season. If you're not a Bills fan, it's a highly entertaining view from the outside.

I thought you were saying they didn’t address the offense befor that pick.

As far as giving back Edmunds, Phillips, or Johnson... I’m really really glad you’re not the Bills GM.

The Bills brought in Newhouse and Bodine on the line... Kerley at WR. They drafted two WR’s. Not great moves. But inexpensive moves they hoped would pan out. They didn’t.

No one has told me of a FA WR that wanted to come here without us overpaying in a year where we have no cap room to do so. I would have loved to sign John Brown, but why would he come to Buffalo - rookie QB, can’t overpay him. Of course he’s gonna go play with Flacco. This isn’t Madden. You can’t just dupe the AI and sign and trade for whoever you want.

I would encourage you to give this regime this off season to add some talent to the offense before closing the book on them.

If you believe the plan was over three seasons, this is easier to handle.

Year 1 - clean out the riff raff

Year 2 - Set Defense & draft a QB

Year 3 - Set Offense around QB

(We’re only in Year 2)

Let Anderson/Peterman be the tank commanders.

Outbid everyone for Tyrell Williams.

Draft Ed Oliver.

Use most of the remaining draft and FA $$$ on Offense.
