Buffalo Bills 2021 Thread

So how confident are we about this game? I admit I am surprised the line is holding at 2.5. That's a good amount of respect from the marketplace. The Chargers are a really solid team and it still took a late 4th down after a +4 turnover day to beat them.
I want to believe defense still matters. It may be a challenge to do so if we can't beat this team or at least take them to the wire. Like if our 'Madden rating' offense is a 86 vs their 99, the gap on defense is way bigger.
Until I see evidence to the contrary, I will continue to believe that KC will dominate us.

We still have no one who can cover Kelce and we have one reliable DB and we haven't proven that we can stop a good rushing attack. Plus it looks like the pressure of playing KC gets to Josh...

I am hoping for better, but until I see it I won't believe it. This kind of reminds me of the times when the Bills would destroy the AFC only to get destroyed by an NFCE team in the Super Bowl... it's just a different ballgame against KC than we have faced so far.

This will be a fun game again this year.

Chiefs offense is off and running. Tied for most points in the AFC thus far this year with... the Bills. Chiefs have done it against far better competition, though. Also, the chiefs offense has the fewest possessions in the league thus far this year. They have been extremely efficient with the most yards per play, points per possession etc. No one has stopped both Kelce and Hill this year and the running game is far improved with a completely new offensive line that features 3 rookie starters. There have been an inordinate number of turnovers by the Chiefs this year.

The defense has been extremely concerning, basically mirror imaging the offense. Giving up the most yards per play and the most points in the AFC. Again, strength of schedule matters but it has looked not good, particularly against a very not impressive philadelphia squad. The secondary is full of reclamation projects and spare parts and missing charvarius ward, though he may return for this game. Chris Jones has been kicked out to DE this year, partly to help a poor pass rush and partly at his own request. It has not gone well and I hope this experiment ends soon. The LBs are replacement level at best, though hoping for reinforcements off injury reserve for this week. I'm hoping they are capable of more, otherwise the chiefs are heading for a 2018 repeat with an MVP Mahomes and a defense that prevents another SB run.

I'd be surprised if Milano plays on Sunday. Leaving a game in the first half of a game with a hamstring injury doesn't usually bode well for playing the following week, it seems.

It also looks like a monsoon Sunday Night in the forecast currently.

Not ideal conditions for a linebacker with a hamstring issue.

I do wonder, however, how much of a hamstring issue Milano actually has. He was jogging off the field after the Houston game no problem.

Yeah I did consider the fact that it was the Texans and there was no need for him to be on the field in the second half anyway.

It’s crazy how bad the Texans are. No Poyer, no Johnson, Milano just leaves the game early on… still can’t score.

I can’t get over how awful they were. I’ve never seen anything like that in the NFL. Credit to our Defense, and maybe they’re just that good.. but yeesh.

I could have left that game at halftime with complete confidence that there was no chance the Texans were even going to make it somewhat of a close game.

We've faced some really, really bad QBs so far this year (sorry, Trueblue25 ), so I think we'll have a better handle on how good this defense really is after these next 2 games

Good morning and go Bills!

Today is gonna be a loooooooong day, most of which I will spend trying to forget yesterday's SU game...great measuring stick game tonight. We've incinerated three lousy teams, really interested to see how we do against the class of the AFC.

Huge opportunity to take the lead in the race for home field advantage. Hope Josh and the boys show up guns blazing...

Off to watch the Jets lose... Go Buffalo!

I woke up at 6 am, after staying up late for the Fury/Wilder fight, with that Christmas morning feeling.

Long day for sure… thank goodness there’s a morning game.
