Buffalo Bills 2022 Thread

Went to the game yesterday, was a fairly pleasant 25 min drive to the stadium vs flying across the country. Weather again was ass. Think I'd take the 50 and constant drizzle over the 95 or whatever misery it was in LA. Ravens fans had themselves a good time in the 1st quarter and were dancing around and being loud. Not a lot of fun for them after that point. I let the guy in front of me that was talking a lot of crap know that I'm willing to take all he can dish but then he doesn't get to be a bitch when we come back. He agreed and then I crapped on him pretty relentlessly the entire 2nd half. Good fun.

Time to get guys healthy and just go get a clean W against a terrible Steelers team probably starting a rookie QB.

I went to two week 1 games in Baltimore in recent years with Tyrod & Peterman; obv pretty miserable games. Was both times amazed by the # of Bills fans in a city we're not really known for travelling to; it doesn't really come across on tv. Can't imagine what Nashville/Miami are like.

There's really no excuse if we don't win the Steelers game relatively easily, but I do think Pickett looked a lot better than Trubisky has at any point this season so you never totally know.

It's not the greatest matchup in the world. They're weak vs the run which is moot against us and now we're decimated at WR. JA needs to not get frustrated & give their crappy offense any points.
But ya they suck. Lol @ Tomlin starting the season w/ Mitch just to keep his no losing record streak alive which will be gone anyway.

The bandwagon is completely full this year. Don't know where all these people were for the 1st 20 years of this century but everyone is a SUPERfan nowadays. I try not to be a curmudgeon but there is definitely something about it that annoys me. I very much despise most of the dorks yelling about Bills Mafia or trying to break tables for attention, I find it embarrassing. There's the part of me that says if you weren't traveling to away games piling up Ls and going into mock draft mode in mid-November all those years then stay away from the rest of our joy. I'm a dick I guess.

I actually think the Bills mafia movement was born out of the losing, not the winning. The Bills sucked for forever, so people started going to games to get wasted and do stupid stuff and it expanded from there. I’m sure there’s a good amount of banwagoners out there, like there is any time teams get good, but the Bills have always had a rabid, hardcore fan base that filled up the Ralph even when the team was hot garbage year after year.

The table jumping is the worst.

The nerf hoop dunking on people was a way better gimmick.

Is it our blocking ? Scheme ? Or is it the RBs faults that we seem to have no ability to run the ball consistently for a team the opponents cannot afford to stack the box against? Im sure there’s some component of each, but what is the primary ?

It's a good question, particularly since this year the Bills brought in a highly respected OL coach.

It's definitely mostly the blocking. The Bills are dead last in run block win rate by a wide margin last I saw.

The O line is by far their biggest weakness. The stink at run blocking and are below average at pass blocking. To me they have Dawkins/ Morse and 3 guys who week to week you just never know. I mean at this point I think the Bills could run out anybody at cornerback and be fine. It just seems like they are constantly scrambling to find 5 healthy guys out there and the run blocking has been brutal for years. Josh masks a ton of sins with the O Line as well. 6-5 245 with a canon arm and great scrambling ability will do that.

It's just the way of the NFL. I mean there are a lot more Chiefs fans these days than there ever was. Also when you have a franchise QB that will happen as well.

I have no issue with any of the Bills Mafia stuff, the fans have been crazy for years. But it's a young man's game. Anyone over 30 I have to really wonder.

I'm more bothered by the people that try way too hard and are trying to become some kind of pseudo Twitter celeb by being a douche.

agreed, That's not just limited to the Bills. Just the culture that has been built by so many when it comes to all sports

Was checking out Pickett's stats from last week, and noticed something very unusual

10-13 passing, but all three incompletions were INTs. All his passes were caught, just not by his team. Check it out, I can't think of the time that has happened before

I’d like to think we can beat Pittsburgh anyway but not ideal

Not at all ideal.
"Good, be well next week!".
It's so silly how every single fan on twitter makes these automatic assumptions with every injury.
1) playing doubles the risk of re-injury.
2) a week off means 100% health next week.
I mean great, if it was that simple.

Sounds like Edmunds might also be out for Sunday but there's some hope there. Sounds like McKenzie is good to go though which is good and both Phillips and Oliver could be ready as well. Safety situation is concerning to say the least, not having Poyer with Hyde already ou really hurts. Hoping we hear somethign on Tre soon, to still not even be practicing after 4 weeks on the PUP list isn't a great sign.
