Buffalo Bills 2025 Thread

Benford going from a stud making no money to a bum this year was something unforseeable as well. Thought we had a shutdown corner and now he's below league average so far this year. White is bad bad. Had to figure we had a good CB1, Hairston to have an up and down rookie year as a hopefully solid CB2, Taron as our maybe best defensive player as a great nickel and then Tre just to be a part timer/backup. Instead that whole room has went to sheeeet from the jump with Taron the only one with even average grades so far.

Eyeball tells us that Bishop stinks and actually turns out that he is the highest graded player in the entire secondary at this this point.
From what I can tell the issue Benford is having is the d-line is getting almost no pressure and teams are dragging him across the field on routes. Everyone on the entire D looks a step slow and like they are reacting versus dictating. I don't know if they are bought into the scheme or not. Anyways to me Benford is the least of their worries.

But Dawkins is looking old this year and he plays the most important position on the line. Milano is getting up there and always injured. Combine those two with Knox and those are your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th highest paid players. Daquan Jones is up there too and now he's likely out a while. I think most of this is on Beane. I put less on the coaching staff.
Agree just about all of the issues are on Beane. But I think McD has had a very strong say in the draft and FA acquisitions. I also question Brady's offensive game plan so far this year and the D has been a hot mess other than 2nd half yesterday. I suspect this coaching staff has reached its peak and is on the downside. 13 seconds was the year and last year was the next best shot.

credit for Spags on the self awareness to give up on the HC chase and be a kick ass coordinator

Also a pretty easy gig to look good. You can do an ok job and people think you're great because Mahomes rescues them after they give up the lead in the late 4th constantly. We want to light McDermott on fire for the same thing.

Shouldn't even be something that is possible given we should be playing zone the majority of the time but guess personnel isn't allowing that to be the case as much as we're used to.

This is laughably bad. The jet sweep or whatever you want to call it needs to be obliterated from this guy’s playbook. Right along with the tight end screens. Complete joke that the guy averaging 5 YPC never sees the field on third downs.

Stuff happens in games and players make or don’t make plays but what is controllable is putting James Cook on the field. That’s a joke.

Would we be happy if Taylor, Bijan, Henry were off the field on 3rd and 1?? YES

Comparing the Sabres to the Bills is interesting to say the least. Your franchise QB needs to play better and O line needs to protect better, plain and simple. I do agree they need help at WR with Palmer out now

defense gave up 24 points last night, should have been good enough. I will blame the 60 mil dollar man first and foremost. That's what he signed up for and he knows it. A few less interviews and commercials might help. Josh has not been good other than comeback vs Baltimore.
They didn’t play well enough. Points allowed is misleading. They gave up 300 yards in a half and it would have been another TD had London not stepped out of bounds at the 1. The defense is really bad on third down for 2 years in a row. Wait till they start playing actual good teams (which they haven’t yet )

Hey Josh, this is what getting married gets you.....looks like your head is someplace else and your legs show weakness.

Sounds like Milano and Samuel will be active for Carolina.

Hairston also close, looks like the 21 day window should open this week or next.

I’m really starting to feel like we have a coordinator and talent problem . Allen masks alot. When he doesn’t play well (and last night he was bad from both a play and decision making standpoint) it reveals these inadequacies that he so often masks.

Brady is not very good. He might not even be mid. He may be bad. A lazy way to evaluate an OCs creativity is just think back to 2 pt conversions. So often we see other teams score on these with some degree of ease as their players get schemed open through some wizardry of a play devised by the coordinator.

What do we see on our 2 pt conversions TIME AFTER TIME? One of two things.

-Allen in shot gun. Takes the snap. Nobody is open. He runs around with his head cut off and throws up a prayer.

OR
-back shoulder fade to Contested Catch Coleman

I'm unclear on the window. Once it opens then it's 21 days before he can play in addition to practicing?

21 days to be activated or go on season ending IR

Oh, and as for those who have their issues with Brady, explain to me how in a game without Palmer or Kincaid, Shakir was only in the game on 48% of snaps?
Was it 48? I see 60%. Still too low.

Leave this ridiulousness for twitter or facebook or wherever the hottest dumb takes are fired off these days.

It’s so obvious I don’t think we need outside validation. Just watch game 1 where the angles these guys were taking were laughably terrible. Apparently too many head blows can indeed affect your special awareness and I’m not even trying to be funny with that comment .

Anyone with eyes in their head knew this should have been a priority in the offseason and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to address it. Mind boggling.

It’s pure arrogance. It’s believing your system is more important than the player. Systems only go so far.

Now they are doing it with Coleman. They drafted him and despite complete ineffectiveness the vast majority of games, he continues to lead all receivers in snaps. Of course you don’t give up on guys this early but that’s different than continuing to gameplan as if he’s actually good. The bills aren’t in a developmental phase. It’s superbowl or bust. This isn’t the time to have your “outside threat” learn the trade.
