Buffalo Bills 2025 Thread

I know it’s the titans , but New England’s offense looks much smoother than ours has all year against some pretty bad defenses

So after watching a bunch of games today with the clarity of no bills game this week, it appears to me the other teams just have much better players on offense .. even average teams . Most of the better teams have better third receivers than our 1

New England's offense has been top 5 in basically all the important metrics this season; they just had some turnover issues early on that hid it.

On the flipside though, even after the last two weeks, we are still #4 in both yards per game and points per game and I believe #6 in offensive DVOA. I think by the eye test, the offense looked pretty amazing the first 4 weeks. Against the Patriots, things were a lot more inconsistent, though we racked up the yards thanks to targeting Kincaid a ton but had a bunch of turnovers that cost us and then this past week we just sucked.

The defense is probably a lost cause though. The only slight provider of hope is that we get the suspended boys back this upcoming week and if Hairston is able to play this year, he could help solidify the corner position. Those safeties will probably always prevent us from being even passable defensively though.

How often do rookie corners make a truly positive impact when they are being heavily relied on? Perhaps im negatively biased cause of the Elam experience

Hairston isn't gonna be prime Revis but I think getting someone with his speed out there could at least help with the opposing teams speed guys who have been torturing us all year. Also allows Buff to mix and match more and potentially play Tre when he has a more realistic matchup instead of Waddle or London.

Shocker what happened with the high flying falcons offense vs a bunch of 49ers backups

Robinson: 14 carries 40 yards

London: 4 catches 42 yards
Think they were literally like the #31 or #32 offense in points per game in the league before they played us lol.

I don't think I heard Drake London's name called once until deep into the third quarter.

Don't forget McCaffrey just running for 5+ yards a clip and destroying them in the passing game.

But our star running back isn't even allowed on the field on third downs.
Did the 49ers run any jet sweeps to their backup tight end? The hilarious thing about the jet sweep is Brady just discovered it this year while the rest of the league already moved on from them. They were all the rage like 5 years ago

RBs have half lives no matter how well you try to preserve them (except Henry who is a physical freak of nature). So if you are going to pay one like we pay cook, use the crap out of him

So New England has the largest amount of cap space in the NFL? Imagine what they could do at the deadline if they so chose to. We are in trouble here. I don’t think I’m being reactive or over anxious. I actually was less worried right after the loss to the falcons and only with more time to reflect have I gone to this darker place

Belichek. His fiancé and Mrs. Josh would be immediate BFFs. 😉
This is the problem. I think McDermott has a ceiling on how far he can take this team. The problem is hire the wrong guy and they could drop the floor quite a distance. The odds of a wrong hire are much greater than a great hire. Thats why I’m fine with just replacing the coordinators

We aren't going big this deadline IMO. I think they will add a depth RB (Dameon Pearce?) an edge (im not thinking someone at the level of Hendrickson), and maybe a DB. I think they will sit out the pricey WR trade market for now and shoot their $$$$hot on George Pickens in the offseason.

I think the Pats want to strategically spend this cap space on medium and long term additions to get back to being a consistent title threat for the duration of the Maye era, even at the expense of going all in now. And as a fan who sees the Pats very young and very early i support that.

The ONE short term type move i could see would be sending a day 3 pick to Cleveland for OG Joel Bitonio. Very good albeit older guard but I think they would love to upgrade at LG as Jared Wilson, the Center of the future, appears to be the weak link and too undersized for guard. Directly responsible for 3 of Maye's 4 sacks yesterday and keeping him healthy is paramount.
