I think if they scheduled a game with the Orange at the Ralph at this time, they could fill it. That would be something.

Having gone to both schools I don't think they would get more than 35k there. SU would have around 30k of that. No one in Buffalo cares about UB football or even SU football. Their (UB) games get current students and older alums. There are no locals, outside of that, who attend their games.

No one in Buffalo has cared about them because they have never been a solid program, which they now are. I think people in WNY are noticing that they have a legit college football team nowadays.

Do you want me to take the time to go through the entire season and list the games that a P5 team has played an in state G5 team? But not Syracuse, we're too something to lower ourselves to that. Now that seems crazy to me.

Syracuse can’t fill the Dome and Buffalo can’t fill a high school stadium, but they’re going to fill an NFL stadium. Makes sense.

They might be solid though folks in WNY aren't going to go out of their way to support a MAC team. They just don't. They care about the Bills, Sabres, Bandits and SU basketball. I visit Buffalo often due to my wife being from there and I only hear about UB for two seconds on the local tv sports segments. I went there in 2008 when they won the MAC and they still had little attention. Maybe if they win the MAC consistently they might start to get some local following.
