Pretty sure Nassib is the QB i first remember watching
And miss the entertainment?Ignore is great.
Who has Buffalo played at home that their fans would be psyched about seeing them play? If OSU or PSU agee to play them at the Ralph, do you think it would be full?Biases aside on all parts, I think its reasonable to say the below.
Pros of playing UB:
-easy roadtrip/UB brings a more lively contingent to the Dome than a number of conference foes.
- in state game that may expand our visibility further with Rochester/Buff/Canada “if you can’t beat ‘cuse join them”.
-A regional game where Canadian, WNY and Northern/Western PA recruits could travel to.
Cons:
- Ultimately a meaningless game.
-Better serviced scheduling regional doormats to better recruitment territories like Rutgers, Uconn and Liberty.
-UB does not garner sufficient home-support to make a game at New Era field feasible.
- Though highly unlikely, a loss here could derail half a season.
- We already play Pitt, I have no interest in playing another team in that region (even as an alumni).
- Could potentially further alienate would-be future Orange fans in western NY

Buffalo is a Suny school as in State of New York. This is the same state that Syracuse University, a private school is in, the state that SU looks to for funding and aide for various types of endeavors. Helping UB would come back to SU. Comprende.None of those "Pros" are really all that much of a Pro.
IF we want to play a non-P5 in NYS on the regular, it should be (and will be) Army.
Buffalo is NY's Greensboro = no value.

If I must. Both Heids and Liehs & Steigerwald in Syracuse area are much better as is Schallers (Brighton) and Nick Tahou's in Rochester. Teds is severely overated. You prepared to die on this hill? I am. Teds is on another level.
Buffalo’s a major sports city, there’s plenty of value and I honestly see no comparison to Greensboro.None of those "Pros" are really all that much of a Pro.

Baylor and Pitt, the student supports solid but it’s sad UB can’t fill that stadium. It should be on South Campus.Who has Buffalo played at home that their fans would be psyched about seeing them play? If OSU or PSU agee to play them at the Ralph, do you think it would be full?

What if it was on the same weekend as a Bills game, a double header of sorts. Pitt can't even get fans at their own stadium and Baylor is 2 thousand miles away+/-.Baylor and Pitt, the student supports solid but it’s sad UB can’t fill that stadium. It should be on South Campus.
syracuse would fill it with cuse fans.
No. Loco!Comprende.
UB’s a young program. Once they string together some wins and manage to maintain a staff the crowds will come. What if it was on the same weekend as a Bills game, a double header of sorts. Pitt can't even get fans at their own stadium and Baylor is 2 thousand miles away+/-.
There is nothing like a game where one team thinks they are still college football royalty and the other is a johny come lately that wants so bad to get a win against the old giant. But hey whatever, can't wait for the Ohio Bobcats to play the Orange.UB’s a young program. Once they string together some wins and manage to maintain a staff the crowds will come.
Though a majority of poster’s responses to this thread were bitter and almost sarcastic, some of them have a point. What does SU seriously have to gain from this being any more than a once every 10 years matchup?
i was grasping at straws mentioning potential recruiting gains, the WNY/WPA territory is dominated by Pitt, PSU and ND. We’d service ourselves better by just beating pitt.
IMO Duff's wing suck. Very dry. I had Anchor once, and they were really good. A good friend of mine, and a "wing guy", loves Duff's. To each their own.I make better wings in my air fryer.

oh, wow. You’re still going on about this.

Not that I'm advocating this, but Florida and Florida St didn't play each other until the state legislature mandated it. It eventually became a rivalry when Bowden made them good. In 50 years, who knows. So your trying to create an In-State rival is that it? UB? OMG no!!!!
