Alright, now can we talk about this Jay Bilas absurdity?
He might edge out Craig Forth and Pascal Chukwu for a spot here, but upper mid-tier Orangemen like Otis Hill, Conrad McRae, and Daryl Watkins are eating his lunch.
The Bilas thing is so absurd it has to be some kind of troll/joke (that I don't totally get, to be fair)
I remember thinking Jay Williams was so damn great in college. I hated that Duke team, but I thought he was amazing. Williams, Duhon, Battier, Dunleavy, Boozer. Thats a hell of a 5

True.Jordan/Carmelo >>>>>>>>>>Redick/Magic
Because of Redick. He’s not in those guys league. There have been lots of Redicks in college hoops.
Jay was great, but was he better than say, Kenny Anderson? I don’t think so.
No mercy.Best college players ever? It’s odd but they all went to the same school- Sherm, Pearl, DC, Hak, Melo #1, Billy, Rony, MCW, Johnny, Lawrence, Tyler, Dion, Tyus, Wes, Arinze, and a host of others
When Kidd was a sophomore. They beat Duke (with Hurley and Hill) the year before.Curry
Jordan
Melo
Duncan
Walton
To me, the clear value picks are Jordan, Melo, and Duncan. From there it was either Kareem/Kidd or Walton/Curry. Kidd couldn’t shoot at all in college, and Cal bombed out of the NCAAs, so I figured Walton is close enough to Kareem that I could take him and get Curry.
My guess is someone associated with Duke put this together, if not Bilas himself.Alright, now can we talk about this Jay Bilas absurdity?

Jay Williams was a horrible free throw shooter and it cost his teams games. The Bilas thing is so absurd it has to be some kind of troll/joke (that I don't totally get, to be fair)

PG - pearl
SG - jordan
- mullin
- melo
C - a.davis

(I know some of the ratings are stupid and Bilas has no business being on here. It's Friday, don't overthink it)
There should be a dollar menu, then maybe Bilas goes on that. In picking my team, I will start with dudes that aren’t dead first and move forward to dudes that aren’t over 50.
Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Pete Maravich, and Danny Manning.View attachment 200236

This list is really bad. There are some great players on it, but I think you could easily build from players excluded a starting five that would destroy any team from the list.No Wilt Chamberlain?
Went to Kansas for 2 years. Averaged 29.6 and 30.1 points and 18.9 and 17.5 rebounds per game those 2 years. Phenomenal athlete.
When u look at Wilt's stats in the NBA they are just staggering. Averaged more than 48 minutes per game one season. Never fouled out of a game. Still holds more than 90 NBA records. No Wilt Chamberlain?
