Yeah- this is the kind of signing we’ve seen other programs make and the guy is impressive immediately and we are asking why the hell we don’t do it lol.

I honestly am hoping this entire team is about guys competing for the opportunity.

According to Mike M article he had pretty dang good stats at lower level leagues but then in the better Serbian/Adriatic League was a 3pt/3reb guy. But honestly those are some of the best leagues outside NBA so nothing to be that discouraged about

That’s fine then, obviously to improve you need to see playing time (which I hope he does), I just hope that they aren’t banking on Goodrick being the starter (which I don’t believe they are).

Absolutely, that’s what you want from players on a team. Competition makes everyone better, and all of these guys that we have seem to be competitive and hard working guys.

Offense from Freeman, Goodrick has some ability to score, and Siby can obviously defend. I’d like that rotation.

Yes, context matters a lot. We really don't know what level each of these international players are playing in overseas. Obviously from that article there are many Serbian leagues with varying talent.

So for that last season, while those stats look regressed it was while playing only 13 minutes per game. Probably playing with some older pros and such so i guess that make sense as he was likely around 18 years old. So per 40 minutes Siby averaged 11.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 3.4 blocks while shooting 62.5% from the floor and 81.5% from the free-throw line. Have to say I really like that jump in the free throw percentage. That could be really big right there.

I'm not sure how you can watch videos of him and think that. Go pull up videos of 7 footers playing CBB last year and show me one moving better than him in the open court. There will be very few

Cmon...no one knew his name so obviously he sucks and needs to redshirt.

seems like people that are familiar with his game are pretty high on his abilities. I like this. Anyone that watches even the first 15 seconds of video on him and compares it to chukwu doesn't have eyeballs in their head. The athleticism is there and hes not a stiff. Needs work but there's a lot to like.

He runs the floor well from the video Mike posted. Very capable defender. I think 3 big rotation with Freeman and Tas would be VERY good in the ACC.

Nothing in the hightlights seems to prove he has much of an offensive skillset, but man does he have physical abilities. If the free throw percentage jump means something, he could be getting better offensively.

Yep. Get Freeman or another offensively solid big man and then spend on a pg and fill out the rest from there. On paper this team looks great on D. Ol man JB would love this group for zone.
