Get back to the days of Sherm, DC, Rony, Stevie, Billy, Dave Johnson, Leron, multiple defenses and push the ball up the floor for easy baskets. Pound the offensive boards for put backs.I am hoping this is the case.
Exciting basketball again.

100%. And it made no sense because NC State was bad all season that year and then caught lightning in a bottle starting at the beginning of the ACC tournament.I often think if DJ Burns at NC State didn’t have that F4 run last year we never would’ve brought in Lampkin
Another video of Kyle at UCLA. This one has many of the same highlights, but includes whole possessions, sometimes on the defensive end as well.
Maybe I forgot what good basketball looks like, but I can’t imagine why he got so few minutes at UCLA. Maybe the coach just values 3 point shooting instead of dunks?
Well, one thing's for sure -- this kid certainly pounds the ball with authority.
Doesn't appear to be a refined offensive player, but he runs the floor well, gets off the floor quickly, and he dunks the ball HARD.

Personally i would put big money on a point and great forward at the 3 spot. Get another solid kid at center and focus on one that can defend bigs. Dont worry about scoring.6-9 230, 7-3 wing span, 44 vertical, athletic, rim-runner, DPOY as a sophomore in MVC conference - rolling the dice on those traits does not seem unreasonable
It's good for a mid major. Bottom handful in the ACC imoIf they can land Ballard I think that's a good 1-2 Center combo.
You need an interior scoring threat. It doesn't necessarily have to come from the 5 and is doesn't have to be big numbers. But, you have to make defenses account for the interior in half court sets.Personally i would put big money on a point and great forward at the 3 spot. He sets good screens, and knows enough to roll to the basket for a pass. That's a good thing and he seems to catch passes well. You need an interior scoring threat. I fully agree with your point about a true PG. But, so far It looks like the emphasis will be on finding versatile players that can impact the game with the things they can do well instead of focusing on traditional position based skill sets.
What do you think of our forward combo of Freeman/White compared to the rest of the ACC?It's good for a mid major. Bottom handful in the ACC imo
That’s what he did at UCLA. In our ‘system,’ he’ll be setting screens in Skaneateles. At least he hangs around the basket. It’s nice having a big that doesn’t float around the perimeter. He compliments Donnie.
Better. Probably around 10-12. They have the talent to be 6-8 but Autry doesn't know how to use FreemanWhat do you think of our forward combo of Freeman/White compared to the rest of the ACC?
Only 1.1 turnover per 40 in conference play last season. He seems like a “get ball, dunk ball” type offensive player. I am way more enthused by this Kyle than any of our transfers from last season, barring Lampkin. I was very high on Lampkin. As long as players like this know their roles and their own limits and stays within them, then we are all good.
He dunks with a vengeance. And the dunk is a very high percentage shot!Only 1.1 turnover per 40 in conference play last season. He seems like a “get ball, dunk ball” type offensive player. He’s a powerful athlete and I think he’d pair well with an experienced point guard. I know everyone is down on Elliot Cadeau but he could find him for lobs.As long as players like this know their roles and their own limits and stays within them, then we are all good.
You can’t be serious. Ballard is good. It's good for a mid major. Bottom handful in the ACC imo
He signed last night and we're already at the "comparing football and basketball players" point of the discourseMeeks didn’t “come out of nowhere”. He got playing time for Georgia, a national championship team. This guy couldn’t get more than 12 minutes a game on a middle of the road team.
