Well, because they're playing us, and everyone knows how to beat a zone. They have awful (and I mean AWFUL) rebounding, and according to KenPom are one of the luckiest teams in Division 1.
Not that I have seen, though Davis's comment gets extra exposure because it was on the Selection Show.are people other than seth davis picking montana?
Hi, Griz Fan here joining your forum. Yes we are not a rebounding team, but we do have a stingy defense when it's clicking. We don't feel like an upset pick, if anything we have a chip on our shoulder as the big underdog. So what a TV analyst throws out an upset guess, the same thing jinxed us last year against Wisconsin. If anything it is to your advantage. Our season has been a roller coaster of senior injuries, early and late in the season, so it has been a season of adversity. You will definitely be a tough match-up for us without a doubt that is a no-brainer, but we feel mentally prepared to face your challenge. And for all the people that are considering us a quick write-off into the next round: More fuel to feed the wolf, we sure as heck are not going down without a fight! We will be giving it our 110% to make a game out of it!
Good post, wouldn't it be fuel to feed the Grizzlies?More fuel to feed the wolf

I haven't seen many people picking Montana but I really don't care what the talking heads say, they're often wrong and some times just want to get attention by making an edgy prediction. I can only construct two reasons for making a case for a Montana upset and they're kind of flimsy and not hugely substantial. a) SU having to travel across country for a Thursday match-up at 10 pm (1 am our clock) after a grueling BET; b) SU's history in the NCAAs after a deep run in the BET is spotty at best - we've had some bad performances after going all-in in NYC.
Thanks for the post, I'll pass it on to our forums, as some people in there seemed to be a little disenchanted by the inaccurate assumption that we were in a southern conference. We hope to make a game out of it!Hey, consonance, good to see a Griz fan here - I noticed on your board that a lot of people weren't able to get registered here, and I found that unfortunate since I was hoping to have/read some good conversations with some of your fanbase.
I feel the need to inform you that not all posters here are uninformed, cynical wiseasses, and I hope you are able to tell which are which.
Best of luck to you, and I hope we pound the crap out of you.![]()
Game is 10 PM eastern, no?
