The more I watched Philips in these games I thought he might be better as a slot WR, and guy we can put in the backfield a couple of times a game and use in JET sweeps.

He is by far the fastest player we used on offense and has that Austin/Percy Harvin body type. He isn't big but is shifty and is a weapon in space. I hope we don't keep him as a RB and use him as an offensive weapon.

My thoughts exactly. It won't happen because it's apparently against Hicks' philosophy, but I would send Phillips to train with the track sprint group this winter to work on speed.

Not sure he's got the top-end speed that Austin/Harvin have, so it would seem worth trying to maximize his ability under the direction of a guy who has produced multiple AAs.

I would love to see us use him that way. I don't know that it matters which letters we put next to his name. Regardless of WR or RB we need to line him up all over the place and make the other team's defense have to account for him after we line up.

I think thats exactly how they envision him, hes the one guy that is better than their guy at all times
