I would think after watching Carmelo for one season at the Cuse and now nine years in the pros, that he is going to have a bit of a hard time biting his lip if Lin takes that shot at the buzzer and freezes Melo out of the play. It might be fine if Lin drains it, but if he misses, crank up the presses.

Francesa also said that he is going to representatives from Time Warner and from MSG on also to discuss the dispute.

Whatever one might say in terms of criticizing Melo, there can be zero disputing that if you need one bucket with the game on the line that he is amongst, if not, the best in the business in getting that hoop.

With both on the court, how hard is it to envision Jeremy starting the play, getting a step, and driving to break down the D. If the defense doesn't come to him he penetrates & scores, if the defense does come to him he has a choice of Melo on the wing or a big guy (Ty or Amare) P n R ing. Agreed. No one can deny the fact that this team will need Melo in meaningful playoff games down the stretch.

I also think that Melo gets it. He understands that if he comes in and screws up the chemistry, he will be known as a ballhog and little else.

Agree 100%, like last night I think Lin tries to penetrate for the last shot and reacts to what the defense gives him, probably kicks out to Melo for a midrange jumper if the cheat. What I won't miss, is that nonstop iso plays with Melo with 4 guys standing around. When Melo comes back I am sure Lins shots and point production will drop but I am 99% positive that he will be happy to distribute to Melo as his assists go up and turnovers down

I'm not a Knicks fan, but I have no doubts the two can coexist. I agree with it likely cutting down on Lin's TOs, making him a more efficient player. I can see him as a 15/7 type guy from here on out with Melo and Amare.

Melo will have no problems working w/ Lin on offense, he'll adjust accordingly. The bigger issue, IMO, will be how effective the team remains on DEFENSE.
J Lin's Knicks actually play good D as a unit. If Melo & Amare revert to form when they're both out there, that'll have a bigger impact than anything they do on offense.
DAntoni's teams will always score- but can they maintain discipline on the defensive end?
