Class of 2024 CB Koy Beasley (OH) Portal to Miami(OH)

I don't think that's true
If he goes to Purdue we may expect a flip to SU. Purdue isn't exactly a great program right now - but that's probably why he went there, a school where he can play immediately. :)

So confused on this post…he’s was there this fall. Coach got fired and now he’s in the portal looking for a new home. He was down between Cuse and Purdue and chose Purdue to stay closer to home.

I know for sure that Fran went after this kid as hard as any one of the 2024 class that he viably thought was a get. This kid will be a high priority portal recruit.

And yes I know because of knowledge within the coaching/recruiting staff.
looks like we dodged the 2 Purdue high priority recruits from last year

Must not have been a high priority
Or the kid doesn’t want to come to Cuse and wants to stay closer to home. You think it’s a 1 way street and Fran just gets to say what the kid feels and wants. And needs/wants change after a year with them realizing where the deficiency’s are and prioritizing.

Or…

It’s another kid who was maybe overrated outta HS, who ended up at Purdont and couldn’t make an impact,
so now they’re transferring to the proper level program.

Which in this kid’s case is also closer to home.

He wants to stay closer to home and he picks Miami?

It's ok to admit that he isn't as good as originally rated.

Miami may be a better fit for him and it is closer to home. 247 has lowered his rating as a transfer. Just a hunch here...may not have gotten the best coaching so best of luck to the young man.

Do you know its not the U we are talking about and its Miami of Ohio he is going to? Which is just up the road from his hometown Cincinnati.

I live a 20 minute drive from downtown Cincinnati.
OK gotcha. Just wasn't sure what your tone of the response was. So it was more about the level of school than the location. Good school but not a football powerhouse. Decent MAC school. Maybe he just really wanted to be close to home for whatever reason, or maybe he thinks its a better fit to get playing time? Who knows, but given the proximity I'm going to guess location played a fairly large role.

Or maybe he wanted a little pond.
