Better performance against them last year than Riley Leonard tonight or any recent ACC QB for that matter.

I know this board loves to trash him and presume he’ll be recruited over but just saying.

Not trying to take a shot at GS either I think Garrett has a very nice game against UNC next week.

Shrader was still banged up last year after the Clemson game, he even admitted this year that he probably shouldn’t have even been on the field (or something like that) for Clemson. Then the following game he throws a pick six right away in the Dome against ND.

By the time crazy eyes was put in the game, I honestly think it was a boost in the teams proverbial arm as GS was struggling so bad. But yes CDRW looked sharp that game.

The following week, CDRW got his first official start on the road against Pitt and was awful.

He kept the Pitt game close they were very good last year and it was on the road.

He didn’t play well by any means but still. Pitt should have blown out Tennessee last year but lost on a fluke at home they were really good.

Riley Leonard and Armstrong have been terrible vs ND this year CDRW did better that’s all.

8-23 for 120 and leading an offense to 9 whole points was not the reason the game was close. That was decent defense plus bad execution by Pitt

We are probably going to find out what CDRW really is this year. I hope he is a pleasant surprise.

I think we already know what he is and it isn't a pleasant surprise.
If Shrader was truly concussed yesterday and CDRW was competent they would have put him in,
CL: I like to think SU is above that. And if they are not, shame on our University. Stating the obvious, but some concussions can be a challenge to spot.

The OLine took the day off vs Pitt.

Absolutely, there are degrees of concussion.
A grade 1, headache, difficulty focusing, is difficult to detect especially if the person doesn't say anything.
I'm sure the staff would have sat Shrader if he showed any symptoms of concussion or complained.
That's why I said if Shrader was truly concussed. It was more a comment on my opinion of CDRW's competency.

Not sure why anyone would want to start demeaning nicknames for our own players in the first place.
Multiple people on this forum were calling him that last season, no one meant it in a demeaning way. It’s not that deep.

It's not demeaning. Thompson is on the crazy eyes all-star team too.

I happen to like the quality a lot in a football player.
Exactly, as if intensity is a bad thing.

Lol OK. So you would call him crazy eyes to his face?

I wouldn’t have any trepidation about that if I was talking with him, as it’s in the spirit of endearment, not disrespect. I doubt he would misunderstand the way I’m saying it, as he would hear the inflection of my voice and get the context.

Also, in the interest of consistency, how about all the times you’ve criticized a player or coach on this board? Would you have said those things to their faces? And what I said wasn’t even a criticism.

Again, it’s not that deep.

If Shrader was truly concussed, there is 0 chance Syracuse doctor allows him to play. He was not concussed. Syracuse, if anything, seems to really err on the side of caution when it comes to head injuries.

Yes. He would like it. It just means you're an intense competitor. Why do people get offended on someone else's behalf?

Did you watch the following week vs Pitt when they were able to game plan for him ?

I think Anae needed to give his balls a tug for that stretch of games and I think Wilson was negatively impacted. He called a scared game. Shrader isnt effective either when you make him one dimensional. Wilson has a lot of talent. He's a bit raw, but he has the necessary physical attributes.
