Regardless of what the final ends up being, another piss poor performance by Cincy. 28-20 with 5 mins to play over 3-5 Tulsa. How many mulligans do they get? No way they deserve a top 4 spot. They aren’t even 6th.

I'm not sure why you would say A&M is exempt. They had back to back losses that knocked them out of the rankings. They've looked good lately but they have blemishes that are as bad or worse than some of the others you've listed.

The bigger problem I have than close games is scheduling an FCS team. Any decent G5 team should be scheduling 2 P5s OOC and 2 G5s OOC if they want to be taken seriously. You can't play a G5 conference schedule and play an FCS as well.

Are people advocating for eye test only? I think the eye test is relevant and has to be a factor, given how imbalanced scheduling is, but it can't be the eye test only.

Don't worry they will lose. SMU is a decent team and can beat them. ECU is coming on strong and are at home with a good crowd. I think they win that. Houston right now might be a better team than Cincy.

I think they are more likely to end 11-2 than 13-0. And even at 13-0 they are not getting in over a 1 loss Oregon, a 1 loss B1G champ, a 1 loss UGA, or a 1 loss Bama. Heck a 1 loss B12 team likely gets in as well. They need two of Bama, Oregon, and Oklahoma to lose to have any chance. That is IF they go 13-0 which isn't going to happen.

Oregon lost to Stanford. Take a second please and look at Stanford’s performance this year. That’s like losing to Kansas. I absolutely loathe ND - but they should be ahead of OR. As should Mich. As should Mich St.

Yeah the pundits moaning about Cinci being treated unfairly have to tone it down. They've looked incredibly mediocre in these last three games. They're not even top ten worthy let alone F4.

Really why with Wake and Cinci both undefeated is Cincy with a ND win ahead of wake going into this weekend? Wake at least had multiple decent wins. rank the schedule

Okie State only plays 9 this year but if they win out they deserve it over Bama. Notre Dame plays 9, Cincy, and no FCS. You can argue they deserve it. Bama OOC played Mercer and New Mexico State. That is piss poor for a team trying to make it as an at large. They better hope that Miami finishes strong to make their OOC schedule at least look somewhat respectable. Right now Ole Miss is their best W of the year, but they could easily end up with zero Top 15 Ws.

Honestly neither team is top ten worthy.

A team shouldn't automatically be disqualified because they play in a weak league. But their margin for error has to be much smaller. They need to whoop the weak teams they play in a decisive manner. For Cinci to be involved in competitive games with Navy, Tulane and Tulsa is not a good sign. The upper echelon SEC teams would beat all three of those teams by 40-50+.

If they beat Auburn on the road and play UGA to the wire and lose then I think they have at least a 50/50 chance to get in. jmo

Maybe we should go back to the pre-BCS bowl system with an option for extra games if there is a demand for them. Have the fans, (using the PINs they use to get season tickets) vote on who they'd like to see in a playoff and any team that gets at least half the votes get in. If only team does, they are the champs. if two teams do, have them play. if it's three, have the two teams with the lowest number of votes play and the other plays the winner, etc. If Georgia runs the table and everybody else has lost of has a weak schedule, just anoint them #1.
