I'll be honest, I would prefer to win the big portal recruits. I hope we have a team together that can evaluate and land portal guys. We need freshmen, too. But, upperclassmen win more than freshmen.

Don't disagree... experience over Frosh is preferred in this new era of NIL and portal...

prblem with freshman now is:

they are either so good they re gone after 1 year (NBA)

so bad they are gne after 1 year (portal)

or not good enough to do much to help the team win...and they might leave anyway

some freshman are good enough t help you win year 1 one...but not many and those that are are not going to stick around...

its a dilemma

thats why coach cal hasnt really won much consdiering he had his first pick of the entire pool of high school players for 15 years

If we grabbed Boogie, we would start three 5-star McD's All Americans. Plus a Top 100 guy, and a 5th year senior Big who developed well. On paper, that's a hell of a lot better than what we've seen lately.
