Wishful thinking I guess and perhaps exposing a NY kid who’s still in the portal who seems like a good fit for some of things lacking in the current team like a good outside shooter and a former P4 player with some experience.

I was wondering the same thing but probably because he's from New York.

Apparently there were some issues at Virginia due to an injury. I think he redshirted the first year but then the next year there was some drama over the injury (he was cleared to play but he didn't feel he should), which ultimately led to him transferring. That's all I could find so take it for what it is.
