Federation game is 3pm sat vs south bronx prep, if they win 4pm sunday

they must be hoping for a big home crowd its the only game in the 2nd session on sunday

I think these federation game(s) will be interesting. He should be playing against a higher level of competition then he has seen in a while so im very curious to see how he performs

It still wont tell you much about how he'll do at Syracuse. Its just going to be that much harder to do it all himself this weekend. Nothing against Joe's teammates but him winning a state title in basketball is equal to Kansas/Danny Manning on steroids. He literally carried that team all by himself while normally being triple teamed. That being said, I still am of the belief that he is going to
be great at Syracuse because he wont have to do it all himself

Wasn't really looking to use his performance from those games to set any expectations as to how he does up on the hill next year. That would be unfair to JGII. I was more interested to see how he does against some stiff competition where he might not be able to score 50. Does he get his team more involved? Does he play tougher defense? If he's getting heavy ball pressure can he limit his turnovers and beat his man with some consistency?

I really think some of the D is based on staying out of foul trouble too.. even the last game. he took it over, then got the 4th foul and couldnt drive the lane and the double teams worked better once he lost that edge.

he needs to work on it for sure, but the zone will help with that as its more instincts than athleticism, just as buddy shows.

I am not sure why people question his passing ability, outside of his High School play where he was the primary option and him passing was not usually desirable, he distributed the ball well in AAU and in NYC streetball where I saw him. JG3 was a qb in football, so kind of think he can pass the ball when called for. He is the kind of player that has the mentality of doing whatever he needs to to win.

He's a good passer and even though he shoots 40x a game he's not a selfish player. He looks to pass and involve teammates.

I don't think we will learn much - his team is going to get ovewhelmed.

why do we think they get killed? the last few years the NYSP champ has made to the finals and lost in close games. Westhill got close twice and won it in 2014 and this team is at that level.

I think GF is not that good and that Girard has to be super human for them. I don't think they would have beaten Westhill and frankly weren't the better team against Lowville.

I met a guy who played with Roosevelt Bouie at Kendall. He said they were scrubs but the Bouies made them a "great" team.

Again, we hear this before every game they play and they keep winning.

GF is not that good except some kid that averages 50 pts/game.
Yet they keep winning... and no matter what teams do he still keeps scoring 50... I don’t expect them to win the federation but it’s hilarious to see multiple people before every game so sure they’re going to lose when they continue to win.

He's going to score and it's not a shot at Joe. I've seen them play 5 or 6 times and if they are the best Class B team in this entire state - NYS basketball is in a sad spot.

Lowville was better. They just got in foul trouble and it killed them. I was surprised Glens Falls got out of the section and beat Schalmont.

Here's your NYS Class B schools.

And here is your federation schedule:

Saturday, March 23
12:30 p.m. - Boys B semi - #5 Lawrence Woodmere Academy (AIS) vs #3 Cardinal O'Hara (CHSAA)

3 p.m. - Boys B semi - #1 Glens Falls (NYSPHSAA) vs #4 South Bronx Prep (PSAL)

they also did well against the schools that played in GA which were even bigger. They lack size for sure if they play big schools

Joe scores 50 and the rest of the team scores 30-40 a game.. Not sure what would happen if someone scoring 20 was in his spot or whether someone else could step up to fill most of the void.

Yeah it’s all joe. The team in general isn’t great obviously but I think it just continues to prove how good joe is. Woodmere has Aidan Igiehon as well. I’d assume he’d eat GF alive.

Just watch the championship game and JG3 reminds me of Pearl Washington. Obviously a much better shooter but has similar acceleration and body control when driving to the hoop that Pearl always showed. Thoughts?

Reminds me of Devo, maybe not as quick.

I'm curious how much he will go to the hoop if he gets an opportunity to face Igiehon on Sunday. Really the first big guy that he will face. Plus how will GF defend a 6'9 guy. JG3 will need to be red hot from outside to keep this game close.
