Class of 2026 CG Ryan Moesch (NY) to Siena

Great. So we’re becoming Siena. Hope we don’t schedule Quinnipiac.

I’m not making any comments about the state of our program - I don’t know it Gerry is gonna be any good or if Ryan will translate to college - we lost the center from Brewster (Theo) solely because of money - so I think our biggest problem is cash - if we’re that broke we need to take funding from anyone - even El Chapos brother would be fine by me

no we wouldn't be becoming siena. we'd be getting 2 good players. doty can play at this level even if its off the bench. his work habits are infectious and he's a leader. he'd be a plus. moesch is a 4 star top 150 player. would we not want him?

Moesch is 156 on 247, recruited by the likes of Providence, Akron and Bowling Green. Just the level of talent we need to challenge for the ACC title.

Or lose by 21 to Indiana. Lose 5 q4 games. 2-7 vs q1-3. You’re welcome to sign up for that.
You are presuming Gerry won’t be a good coach. The (admittedly limited)) data says he can. Coaching is coaching. Basketball is basketball. As long as he can get ACC level players through NIL, he should succeed. Will he? Who knows.

Seems like Moesch would be a good candidate to stay at Siena (especially if someone already there gets the HC nod), get more playing time and then potentially portal to ‘Cuse in a year or two if he shows out?

How tall is Moesch actually? In YouTube highlights saw him throw it down a couple times so is he a legit 6-0 or 5-10 with great hops? Also per highlights seems to finish well in traffic against taller athletic guys. Tape is more impressive than I expected.

He’s not at siena yet and he committed to gmac not to siena. I’d expect him to redshirt at Cuse similar to what Luke fennell did then go from there see how he looks in practice, how his body is developing, etc

I have seen him listed anywhere from 5'11 to 6'1 depending on the source.

Last I saw him he was maybe 6ft tall but as mentioned freak athlete. Big guard is definitely not his game. Shifty and explosive. Think Jonny Flynn but not as strong.
He does look athletic in his videos.

Someone mentioned Smith from Purdue.

Tyler Tanner at Vanderbilt has similar measurables (6’ 175) and had a breakout sophomore year despite not being that highly rated.

Would be nice if Moesch has a similar trajectory as those two assuming he does come to ‘Cuse.

This seems fitting, given that GMac was listed as being 6’2”.

And is likely 5’11-6’0” at best IRL.

I know for fact he is coming - he is 5-10 and not 6-0 - my friends son plays with him at Cushing - he tells me that Ryan is the best player on the floor in every game they played and that includes when he was a junior - he out played Tilllery last year - he dominated Rippey doing whatever he wanted this year - only thing that could potentially hold him back is he is very small and that’s why he is rated so low

You seem to be locked in with Cushing. Any chance things change with Edema now that more NIL could be available/new staff?

If folks are interested in watching some full games of his, I found videos online of Cushing Academy vs. Newman School (multiple 4 star recruits including one All American headed to Michigan) and Putnam Science Academy (one 4 star, a couple 3 stars, but generally a D1 factory and the #1 seed in the state tournament).

A bit off topic, but no wonder if the NEPSAC takes a hit with the Masters Academy opening in Mass. Jason Smith is leaving Brewster to coach it.
