Rat bastard, he would have made a huge difference. It was. Dakota L was plan A. He committed and backed out

That’s the point…the fix might not be hardObviously it's EXTREMELY limited data set (9 possessions), but interesting that the the best 5 man lineup is the one I think most on the board want to see more of.

if westry is the PG and reds just being cautious with him then thats great...Red recruited Carlos to be a backup. Everyone knew Westry and portal PG were plan A.
Carlos didn't walk into the situation delusional. If he did, it wasn't Red's fault.
Carlos only became the starter because Red struck out on other PGs, Westry was ill, and Cuffe/Starling didn't develop.
It's great that we're 3-0 with plan D at point guard, but it would be awesome if something else happened. Westry suddenly being healthy and the guy we recruited two years ago would be amazing.
I don't think Moore and Starling being starting combo guards together is exactly the best plan either, but sometimes plan E turns out better than plan D.
Chance is very close to being back. We need to be careful because of the illness. I don't expect we will see him in NY and even if we do, it won't be for major minutes. Not yet.I hope your right because even at 70% he could be better then some of the players getting major minutes. And that would give Red the ability to sit any of the starters who weren't playing defense.
what transfer? When does the transfer actually happen?
He sure has been and yet I have been told that the coaches are very surprised by how he has played. They saw a different guy before the games began.Carlos has stood out as the major problem. Giving nothing on offense along with being a minus defender.
We're all impatient, but we should focus on THAT part.Chance is very close to being back. We need to be careful because of the illness. I don't expect we will see him in NY and even if we do, it won't be for major minutes. Not yet.
JB’s philosophy was to play well in practice and then he’d try you in the game. I can’t imagine Red is any different. When were you at practice? A few weeks ago or more recently?
I think Naheem should definitely play as a backup defensive center, and I think he will against bigger teams. I have no idea what to think about Cuffe. He’s got good athleticism and shot the ball ok in his limited minutes last year.
I try to stay positive, but that is the part that scares me. Perhaps their evaluation skills are lacking. He sure has been and yet I have been told that the coaches are very surprised by how he has played. They saw a different guy before the games began.
True but I looked at his numbers last year when he played good teams and he did well. Maybe he can turn it around. Hopefully, starting on Thursday.I try to stay positive, but that is the part that scares me. Perhaps their evaluation skills are lacking.
I hope so too. He was a good defender last year, per his stats. So, hopefully he become at least a plus defender and an adequate setup man. I blame Leffew (rat bastard).True but I looked at his numbers last year when he played good teams and he did well. Maybe he can turn it around. Hopefully, starting on Thursday.
They have improved defensively, even within the Youngstown State game. Hopefully they recognize the commitment and little things that make a difference, like fighting over screens.I think most coaches would be happy to start Lampkin, Freeman, Bell and Starling. They can all play. We need to figure out who our fifth player is and what our rotations are going to be. I think this team will figure it out. Patience is hard for all of us, but this team has answers on offense. They can figure it out on defense. Texas is favored tomorrow by 8.5.

Maybe a crisis of confidence. Perhaps going back home to Brooklyn will get his mind right.True but I looked at his numbers last year when he played good teams and he did well. Maybe he can turn it around. Hopefully, starting on Thursday.
As one of your few fellow Chris Bell stans on this board, I agree. As the hype man for The Chris Bell Experience, I say to you, well said.
I agree. Saying again the Lemoyne game rattled him, Cox sent him into a spiral, and the complete collapse happened at the end of the Youngstown first OT.Maybe a crisis of confidence. Perhaps going back home to Brooklyn will get his mind right.
Fair enough, but Carlos might need to be pumped up a little now that he's playing above his head... He signed up to go to a big time school, earn a little more NIL than he can get at Hofstra, play maybe 10 minutes a game and compete hard in practice.I’d rather the staff admit that Carlos was plan b or c instead of saying he’s the next Tyler Ennis.
As I said in another thread, I watched Dean’s game compilations from three games that Carlos played against good competition last season, and he was much more effective. He’s in his head right now and not playing well at all, but hopefully turns it around soon.True but I looked at his numbers last year when he played good teams and he did well. Point GG is the issue. If Chance could take over the point and play good D we become a much better team. How about we work Chance into the lineup, reduce reliance on Carlos and see where we’re at first? If you change all the variables it might wind up worse.
I’m not convinced this team is bad or not talented. I think they lack the right flow of guys and leadership right now
Davis is a bull.I think most coaches would be happy to start Lampkin, Freeman, Bell and Starling. They can all play. I think you saw last game though what I’ve been saying would happen when Carlos has bad games and that is JJ take over the point and run Choppa at the 2. It’s great too that it worked as well as it did bc Red won’t be hesitant to play that lineup right awayEven if Carlos calms down and figures it out - it’s crazy Red came into this year with 1 PG on the roster - and undersized mid major transfer at that. And our expected back up is a 6’6 “point forward” coming off a major injury,
He knew Lucas Taylor wasn’t a PG, everyone knew Cuffe wasn’t a PG.
I’m just shocked we couldn’t get ANY veteran Pg with a pulse to at least come in and be our first PG off the bench.
He kept Cuffe and McLeod, added Taylor and Peter - but no PG?
Carlos legit has to play at least 30mpg even if he stinks . JJ has too much on his plate to be the PG too. Choppa isn’t ready for that either.
3/16 from the field , 4/8 from the line, and 14 total assists despite playing 32mpg against the easiest stretch of our schedule. Think about that - he’s played 96 minutes in 3 games - we scored 74, 86, 104 points yet he has 14 assists and 11 points TOTAL
Carlos needs to step up but this is absolutely on Red for building the roster like this.
What's worse is we weren't pitching that someone can be a bench piece, we were looking for a starting pg and struck out.I’m just shocked we couldn’t get ANY veteran Pg with a pulse to at least come in and be our first PG off the bench.
