Chance Westry Transferring to Syracuse

Probably did but Autry was likely very hesitant to put him in for his first action in a game where they were never comfortable. Might have to wait until...Cornell?

I tried to watch him in warm ups and shoot arounds. He looked fine but nobody goes hard so tough to relate to game readiness. His long range jump shot looked very smooth, not a sniper quick release but good arc and rotation.

If Chance can come back and be 75% of what he was in HS he will be a great addition and can play the point. He is the one wildcard that in my opinion can change the season. He was a super star in HS . He is a Copeland without the issues. If he is healthy and still has his skills he makes this team exponentially better.

If the board "experts" are correct and Texas crushes us he may get some time. I am hoping the experts are wrong. By the way do any of you know what an expert really is
ex stands for unknown
spurt is a drip under pressure. An expert is just an unknown drip under pressure.

I'd be more concerned about the "experts" that think it'll be close.

This is silly and yet so typical of this board.

Maybe some folks consider themselves “experts”. I suspect most don’t. We’re just people who watch games and have an opinion.

Three games into this season and, in my opinion, SU doesn’t appear to be a good team. They’ve played even with three bad teams.

Meanwhile, Texas played a decent team close, and absolutely annihilated three bad teams.

So yeah, it’s not outlandish to think Texas will win comfortably. Maybe they won’t. Maybe SU will look dramatically better than we have to this point. But there’s a reason why we’re likely to be a meaningful underdog.

There’s also a lot of self proclaimed experts who predicted that we’d win easily in our early season schedule. I don’t hold that against them. They were just opining like the rest of us.

It’s funny how “expert” is used as a pejorative when one predicts a loss. But that doesn’t seem to apply when someone predicts an easy win and is wrong.

Just throwing a bigger guard at the top could make a huge difference even if Chance isn't game ready. We just need some minutes at defense.

Chance is 6'6 205 and long. Carlos is 6' 180.

With a bunch of new guys and transfers you just don't know what you are going to get. And it's an evolving team. We've definitely seen some things to build on. Hopefully each game we get better.

Carlos is not 6', 5-9 would be my guess.

I think Red would put him out there if he thought he could help.

Weren't the three teams we played evolving? Saw a lot of new faces step up for Colgate, Le Moyne has a lot of new guys and Youngstown's coach coached his third game.
Why are they so far ahead of the curve?

You're not buying it's "their Super Bowl" defense ha?

What were your preseason IGGY AWARD predictions for this team. Oh wait, you didn't make any.
