I don't want to hijack the thread or anything, but I was inspired by the title in addition to the intended humor.

Being it's Thanksgiving time of year(not that we wouldn't benefit to be like that all year), I wanted to say I'm thankful for a Poison song that gives a shout out to the vets as well as to the downtrodden in society, and reminds them that some folks DO care, and reminds the rest that they have a lot to be thankful for. Despite the apparent despair of the protagonist, I think a message of hope can be found in the empathy.
