Chicago Photo Thread!!!!

Been living in Chicago for 5+ years and finally made it to the Girl and the Goat last night for my bday. Awesome start to what should be an awesome weekend. Pig cheeks were amazing.

Nice!! That place is awesome. Usually need to make a reservation well in advance. Had those pig cheeks and goat carpaccio last time there. Can't go wrong with most of those Randolph St. joints. You'd think it would be more expensive also. Maybe that is why it is insanely busy always. Great start indeed!

My girlfriend got the reservation months ago, but she didn't tell me where we were going until we were on our way. Very reasonably priced considering how good it is. Went to Haymarket before. Great place to drink beers and watch the games even though the beers are mediocre imo. I suggest going there to anyone who's waiting a couple hours to get into Au Cheval (not worth it imo).

Nice. Gotcha. Avec is amazing and reasonably priced as well if you haven't been. Their paella is the MVP there. Just down the street. No reservations but late on a Sunday for instance is a good time to go.

Tend to agree about Haymarket. Great sports bar masquerading as an average brewery. Have you tried MadMouse/Moxee? It's not far from Haymarket. I know two or three of the guys who run that place, so I am biased about how good I think their beer is. Just curious to get someone else's opinion.

Haven't been to Madhouse/Moxie, but I'll definitely try it out. In terms of Chicago breweries, I think Revolution is best. They're new flagship, Fist City, is fantastic. Pretty much all I've been drinking for the past year or so.

Have you had some of the specialty Goose Islands? Lolita/Sophie/Jillian/etc.? More saisons and sours. Have you been to Hopleaf?

Revolution is great. So happy they opened that tasting room on Kedzie. It makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.

I also really like Off Color. They specialize in unique beer type recipes that don't fit into the whole "Hopped up" American IPA mode.
I have been drinking a lot of the Le Woof ( Biere de Garde) lately. Dino Smores is great too. Apparently, they will be opening a tasting room soon.

Pipeworks is also doing some really interesting things. I like the series (Ninja)? that features one unique Hop variety in each beer.

It's 11:20 and I'm still sober. Time to fix that

I've had the Matilda and liked it. Haven't been to Hopleaf, but it's definitely on my list.

I wish I had the time/money to travel for these game. Keep the pictures coming!!

I really enjoy sophie. Also have been lucky enough to get the Bourbon County on tap there (tremendous).
Hopleaf is walkable/bikeable from my house so I tend to end up there whenever I have company in town. Never had a person not like. Have you eaten there?
If not, I highly reccomend it, especially if you get a table in the beer garden on a nice day. The Mussels are excellent.

Where the heck is everyone? Just ran into CTO and VAorange
I just got out of work and am ready to go. If you want to meet up for a drink just name the place. It'll probably take me an hour or so to get there from my place.
