Chris Peterson stepping down from Washington

55.

Articles say his health is OK, and there is no family issue, but that he needs to "recharge" after a taxing season.

I think he's looking at the NFL. And apparently some teams have him on their radar.

He's always a popular candidate whose name pops up every year, no doubt this is a bit surprising.

He does strike me as a guy who could lead an NFL team, lets see if he gets that chance.

Makes me wonder if there have already been feelers...

Agreed. Thinking maybe he takes a year off and then gives the NFL a try. I could definitely see him on several teams radar. Guy always wins

He'll be in the NFL in the next month.

*Taxing* will be his new and improved paychecks.

So cute. Did Marrone hurt your feelings when he left? Sounds like it still hurts a little.
No, I call him Doug Moron because he is not a good head coach. 500% at Syracuse in the weak old Big East. Below 500% as an NFL coach at two different teams. I'm glad he left Syracuse, I was never crazy about his hire in the first place with his "My dream job" BS. That's why I refer to Doug Marrone as "Doug Moron"

Duuuuude...the weak big east wasn't much off from the Atlantic this year. WV was a bad-azz back then, remember Slayton? Rutgers was on the upswing, and Randy even got UCONN to the Fiesta. It wasn't the MAC. And Doug's 4 year record is better than Dino's. Doug had a much bigger rebuild as well. Your hatred is misplaced. If we had hired an Ash or Flood after Grob, we would be in the AAC right now. Without Doug and our resurgence, I don't think we get the ACC invite. We were that bad prior to his arrival.

Losing to Colorado made his ass quit. :p

All kidding aside, I watched several of their games this year and he just looked worn out and uninterested. I have no doubt it led to probably 2 losses this year as the talent was still there for sure, I would say he even had an upgrade at QB.

Dougie Mo-ron saved our football program.
