Cincinnati hires Scott Satterfield

I think he jumps at this opportunity to head back to his alma mater this cycle. He let the ship pass by last time, don't think he lets it happen again.

Wouldn’t mind if Purdue was breaking in a new QB and Coach when we play them next year.

Looking at this from Cincinnati's perspective--this seems like an iffy move. Satterfield's coaching ability has come into question over the past couple of years, and, as mentioned by Tomcat, he has no great Ohio connections.

From Satterfield's point of view--get out when you can. It's clear UL's admins, boosters, and fanbase had soured on him. The UC situation has to be better (at least initially).

Brohm is a solid offensive mind. I think he would be a good upgrade for UL.

This is a good test to see how badly UL wants to compete in college football. Can they outbid a coach from the B1G?

I am assuming he is the choice, which might be a bad assumption. He would be my top choice if I were making the call...

UL will spend the money. It might come down to whether Brohm wants to give up the other advantages of the B1G. I agree, Brohm will be choice #1 for UL.

I was there for a bourbon tour weekend this year.
Unless I hit the Kentucky Derby, I won't be back.

If there's another bourbon tour it might be based out of Lexington instead.

I think Sean Lewis might have been Cincy’s first choice, and now understand why they had to settle for Satterfield.

since we are no longer conference foes I annually root for Cincy . I feel this is a pretty dumb hire. They’ve had such a great track record and are a very enticing program on the rise. They could’ve definitely done much better from my largely uninformed perspective.

Sean is personality plus.

Satterfield is like a depressed sack of potatoes.
