Cincy’s time management was dreadful. Twice they snapped the ball with at least 10 seconds still on the time clock.
Alabama is on their own planet. I would not look too much into what the other sec teams do.After watching Florida, now Georgia... maybe ND isn’t going to automatically be lambs to the slaughter today?
This year I've seen/read a lot of stuff from fan bases wanting us to get the boot from the ACC. Really depressing.
What the hell did cinci just do there
They want a stronger conference not a weaker one. They dont think that way. Why? If SU is so weak, other teams should want SU in the league for easy wins.
Georgia deserves some credit too they played a great 4th qtr.The medical term is ‘poop the bed’.
What a disaster.
That was not an easy kick eitherGeorgia deserves some credit too they played a great 4th qtr.
JT Daniels got the $heet knocked out of him and still made some great plays. He's a gamer that will be fun to watch next year.Georgia deserves some credit too they played a great 4th qtr.
Cincinnati was missing their starting TB and 2 first team all conference DB's also. And then lost their 1st all conference LT to a bonehead targeting call in the first half. (The play was bonehead, not the call). But, yes UC wanted it more. Sometimes that just ain't enough.Florida and Georgia both had opt outs.
Cincinnati isn’t a bad team but they aren’t playing a full team plus Cincy wants it more.
That Florida squad on Wednesday was a shell of the Florida team. Their top 4 pass catchers and 2 starting DL opted out.
UC and Louisville need to be in the same conference for their own sake, and mine!Agree the Cincy area is filled with quality D1 kids...but lets be honest Luke Fickell has done a tremendous job at UC...would love them to join the ACC (also a solid hoops program as we know), can we trade Wake for UC?
Preach... if we had a halfway decent offense we are in a bowl this yearIt’s not even an argument it’s just a fact.
I’m 23 and Dino has the one season that sticks out head and shoulders above the rest since I’ve been old enough to understand what I’m watching. If 10 wins happens more than two or three more times in my life I’ll be shocked.
So no, I don’t think we hired the wrong guy as was stated above in this thread. Dino did something wildly impressive based on our limited history in the ACC and that gives him a longer leash, to me, before he’s considered a failure.
I’m still confident we can be a consistent bowl team under the staff we have now
But this argument is a football only argument and that is taking into account that we have been mediocre in men's basketball as you say, which I question would be cause for any movement when you consider that we've won some important games against Duke, UNC, UVA, Pitt... Not sure what more they could honestly want/expect. As fans, we want NCAA championships, but in reality, has NCState or UVA done more than us? Wake? BC? GaTech? They want a stronger conference not a weaker one. They dont think that way.

I mean I never said that, just replied that it's depressing that's the attitude and perception of opposing fan bases. I don't actually think we're getting the boot. I would guess they want us to be atleast competitve in football, and 2 winning records since joining the league 7 seasons ago isn't really a strong showing. Also, in terms of perception, Olympic sports and Lacrosse dont really move the needle even in a league that values it more than any other. I mean no one in the ACC ever shows appreciation for BCs hockey prowess. A competitve baseball team in this league may help, but those are different discussions for a different thread. But this argument is a football only argument and that is taking into account that we have been mediocre in men's basketball as you say, which I question would be cause for any movement when you consider that we've won some important games against Duke, UNC, UVA, Pitt... Now consider the overall athletics department. We've won the NC in Field Hockey, Cross Country, been in the Final Four in men's soccer, women's lacrosse, our men's lacrosse is returning to their almost unrealistic exceptional (Bama level) status, in a league that truly values lacrosse.
I believe people are making an argument, I just don't see that the argument has merit.
Florida and Georgia lost 6 games between them this year. Bama...zero. Not comparable. After watching Florida, now Georgia... maybe ND isn’t going to automatically be lambs to the slaughter today?

Wasn't attributing the rhetoric to you, but you are the messenger. You did bring up basketball, so you are muddying the waters some. Nobody talks about BC hockey because they don't play hockey in the ACC. They do play lacrosse and at the highest level for what I think is the fastest growing sport in the US. Soccer is also a top five sport and also among the fastest growing and they play that at a high level in the ACC too. It won't be long till they are moving the needle with flourishing pro leagues for each.I mean I never said that, just replied that it's depressing that's the attitude and perception of opposing fan bases.
