Class comparisons

Just for. Discussion utilizing ESPN player rankings and ratings.
2012 class had 70 players RATED 93 or higher.
2013 class has 9 players RATED 93 or higher.
2014 class has has 13 players RATED 93 or higher.
SU 2013 player ratings compared to previous year player RATINGS for class would be outside of the top 70
Do these ratings not rankings reflect a change in evaluative criteria or weaker player by class trends? DC was rated 97 and ranked 14th in his class. by comparison Roberson is rated 89 and ranked 27th in his class but would be 19th in 2014 or outside the top 100 in 2012.

I think these rating get changed in their senior year, as they mature/improve they go up.

Espn changed its rating system.They scaled down the numbers so they re aren t as many guys with 90.s.For instance i think triche was given a number around 90 his senior year and he wasn t in the top 100 even.

I actually think 13 is pretty loaded with Wiggins, Dakari, Vonleh etc moving up a year it pushes everyone down the list a bit.

Imho the 2013 class is wayyy better overall than 2012. As Pierre mentioned, I believe ESPN changed their system as well.
