Poor throw.

A TO for a fade is stupid. They were selling out to stop the run with no safties. A play action pop pass to the TE would’ve been an easy 6.

You throw fade routes to Calvin Johnson. It’s a throw that require the wideout to out talent the corner, usually. Back shoulder strikes are different.

Receivers need to sell the long route with a quick stop and go. Venables knows the basic plays and has the corners simply paying tight all the way. Make the CB bite hard and get behind them of get the PI call.
