The D is playing lights out, mostly. The offense: on the bright side, after spotting Clemson 14 points, we have outscored them 6-3. In truth, we have hurt ourselves with receivers dropping excellent passes, the O-line forgetting that their #1 job is to protect the QB and #2 job is to open holes for the RBs.

This game is far from out of hand and SU can pull it off if they do their job offensively.

The refs should offer bonus points to either team for knocking Venables neon yellow hat into next week. No, I don't want to hurt Venables, just get rid of ugly hat. It's not even school colors!

Apparently, this game is depressing the halftime commentator because Lawrence isn't making enough high percentage throws and they're not dominating this game.

He's not exactly setting the world on fire to start the season.

He’s not going to have perfect protection all the time. If you don’t make some plays that are right there, you can’t check the defense. There is some culpability on TD for how the defense is able to play.

Well the one positive I take is that after the first half we could easily adjust. Our issue with OLine isn't an excursion problem rather then us not recognizing where the pressure is coming from. We can adjust on that

There will be some drops and some times Tommy misses guys. That’s normal ebbs and flows.

What’s not normal is the absolute inability to run a functional offense due to the dumpster fire OL play and our OC’s apparent refusal to scheme around it outside a couple plays to the RB on the second to last drive.

Because they are blitzing up the middle.. they are affecting Tommy's field vision down field... they are in the throwing lanes and because they are getting to him so quickly he just cant do much... Its not his fault...OL has been bad.. but play calling hasn't helped him at all... until the last drive when I think our guys figured the rubix cube out... all they have to do is give tommy a code word when they line up for the ML blitz and have Adams go to the flat.. or call a slant.. maybe motion a guy to get trips and then WR screen.. get those MLB's moving side ways... either way we need to adjust or we are not getting to 17 today
