Clemson is Entirely Beatable But...

It's going to be a dogfight to get to 6 wins in the ACC.

Beatable by who? Us?

This is based on how they're playing so far against a team that looks better than us?

I was just about to say the same thing. Based on what Kain Colter and Allen Robinson did to us (yes I know they're on different teams), I don't see how we can describe a team with Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins as "entirely beatable."

Lets not forget about that Friday night game against WVU in the dome in 2011. We had no reason to be in that game. We lost to both UConn and Rutgers that year. WVU had Geno, Steadman Bailey and Tavon Austin. I feel we are far less underdogs this time. Doesn't mean we will win but any team is beatable. Akron should have beat Michigan last week. Are you implying we are a bigger mismatch?

for a while there i thought i was watching mcnabb's senior year game against them

thursday night games are always a sh!tshow

probably why rutgers loves them so much

No doubt, that NC State game during McNabb's senior year was a tough loss.

I love the hands on those Clemson receivers...wow. They look like they are playing against their little brother out there.

Anyone is beatable. Going into a game thinking we have no shot is not being a "realist" - its being unaware of CFB history and our recent history of knocking off highly touted teams in the dome.

I think the modifier "entirely" might be a slight overstatement - we'll know more after Hunts performance vs Tulane. Team looks different with him in the game...

we could play our best game of the season and still lose to clemson. they have 5-6 kids that if we miss a tackle its a touchdown. Nc st showed what elite speed can do but their kid kept stepping out of bounds..

NC State is a team that plays to the level of their competition. Living with a ton of Tar Heel fans they believe the Wolfpack get up when they play UNC, FSU, Clemson especially at home. Carter-Finley is a tough place to play when the fans care. When we play NC State they will likely be sleep walking and won't be as amped up and we can beat them as a result.

NCState is 6-0 vs SU so I never thought this game was ever a gimme, especially being played there.

Very true but I'd love to end that streak this year.

Clemson 2013 >>>> WVU 2011.

It's really not even close.

Totally agree here. They have 2 guys who potentially could make a case for the Heisman in Boyd & Watkins. While I will be all sorts of jacked up for that game and definitely believe we can beat them (with a very, very good performance), I realize they are an elite team. I think it's best SU take it 1 game at a time. Take care of business against Tulane then get ready for what will be one heck of a test in Clemson.

No doubt. I would be thrilled if we were competitive for 4 quarters and hang within 10-14 of them.
