Clemson opens -16.5 over Cuse…..

The home team. On whatever game he's broadcasting. Listen to how much more he gets excited when the home team scores.
I guess I'm struggling to understand what you think would motivate a broadcaster of a televised game to be a "homer" on every game. This must really annoy Jet fans when they are on the road.

I think it annoys fans of all road teams when announcers do that. I have noticed there are others that do it also. Maybe more with college games. I haven't noticed it much in broadcasts of NFL games. Those are usually the better announcers. I've wondered why it happens. Maybe the announcer gets caught up with the cheering of the home crowd. I'm not sure it's always done consciously. I did notice in the Syracuse-Tennessee game that Wischusen seemed more exitable when Tennessee had a positive play.

In fairness to Wischusen, Tennessee was executing very exciting plays.

IDK. I think sometimes there is confirmation bias at play - we "hear" what we are expecting to hear. I'll bet if you polled Vols fans you would find more than a few who felt Bob W - the Newark, NJ guy and voice of a NYS team - was pulling too hard for SU to make a comeback.

Occam's razor - He's just doing his job.

Is this us assuming Clemson is a man?
in the box then don't ya know ?
